Welcome to the SoCal Sound’s Rockstar Rescue! Each week we’ll highlight a little buddy up for adoption…our PET OF THE WEEK this week is Banjo from Pasadena Humane.

Meet Banjo! Banjo is a charming brown guinea pig with a story of resilience. He was one of over 400 guinea pigs rescued from a hoarding situation and transferred into Pasadena Humane’s care for a second chance at life. Despite his rough start, Banjo has shown remarkable strength and is blossoming into a curious, sweet little companion.
He’s now ready to leave the past behind and find a forever home where he can continue to thrive, squeak happily and maybe even learn to love some lap time. Banjo and many other adorable guinea pigs are available for adoption at Pasadena Humane today. Come meet Banjo and let him pluck at your heartstrings – he's ready to play a sweet tune in your life!

Also up for adoption (see dog photos in comments) this week - Grant A522206 - a lovable 2-year-old Black Labrador Retriever who arrived at Pasadena Humane as a stray. Though he’s still learning the ropes, Grant is a friendly, affectionate dog who thrives on attention and love.

And Apollo A521563 - a striking 4-year-old black German Shepherd at Pasadena Humane with a gentle soul and a heart of gold.
Pasadena Humane is participating in NBCUniversal's Clear the Shelters campaign; on Saturday, August 16 from 10am to 2pm, adoption fees will be waived for all available dogs, cats, and critters.
Walk-in adoptions are available every day from 10:00 – 5:00. View photos of adoptable pets at pasadenahumane.org.
New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
