We just released a Dolby Atmos version of King Harvest's Dancing in the Moonlight. After years of looking for the original 8 track recording to provide the best version of this recording, we could only find the best 2d generation taoe- a stereo version of the original 8-track on a 1/4 inch tape. Thanks to Logic's stem separator, we were able to extract voice, drums, bass, and guitar, and create a Dolby Atmos mix. This version provides an immersive feeling of being in the recording studio with the band, incredible clarity, and detail which was previously unheard in the prior releases. You can listen with your Dolby Atmos headphones, such as the Apple EarPods Pro, or other headphones. Enjoy!

"Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?" We're thrilled that King Harvest's "Dancing in the Moonlight" was used in the new Joker "Folie à Deux" picture. The song is used after Joker and Harlequin dance together in the moonlight, dancing to Lady Gaga's original song Folie à Deux. After this sequence, Joker listens to King Harvest's "Dancing in the Moonlight" in a cab. The song was a great fit for the story line in this film.

I suspect this is just the tip of the iceberg. Too easy to defraud streaming platforms and make millions depriving artists and composers of their streaming revenue.

Federal prosecutors charged a North Carolina musician with gaming the system to win royalties from streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.

Great opinion piece by Talking Head David Byrne in support of the American Music Fairness Act- a legislation to require radio stations to pay performers whose recordings are played on the radio. The US is one of the only countries in the world, along with Iran and North Korea, that does not pay performers. Big radio lobby is fighting hard against it, so if you can, please support this legislation.

The American Music Fairness Act would require U.S. radio stations, like stations in most other countries, to pay performers for playing their songs.
