A: Throughout the day you will experience what it'

s like to be in a working studio. We will encourage you to develop an understanding of your personal strengths so you can maximise them in this competitive business- creating a unique 'brand' for yourself. You will get to practice Auto-cue, presenting with in-ear feedback, as-live recording, script-writing, interview technique, guidance on posture and voice and a practical understanding of the demands of working in TV. We hope that by mixing with people of different levels of experience you will learn from each other and learn to be self-reflective of your performance so you can build upon it. Ultimately, we want you to leave a confident and knowledgeable presenter with practical experience under your belt. Q: What will I leave with? A: We will help you put together two unique pieces to camera that bring out the best in you while focusing on the type of work you want to do. You get to keep this footage for use in a showreel or to upload as you wish. You also leave with 3 professional photos. These can be a mix of head shots and full body shots. Q: Who is this suitable for? A: We like to think we offer something for everyone, but the Presenter Training and Taster day is particularly useful for new and working presenters looking to add footage to their existing showreel or to brush up on their technique. Having a director on hand to give you immediate feedback will help you to raise your game- as well as having new photos to add to your portfolio. Q: I'm not a presenter, what's in it for me? A: If you'd like to jump out of your comfort zone and try something different this informative but fun day is for you. You get to perform in front of cameras and a small audience- a great confidence boosting exercise and team building experience. Q: I don't want to be a presenter but I need some professional footage? A: Perhaps you'd like to start your own YouTube channel or join in the latest craze of Vlogging. Maybe you have your own business and would you like a unique and personalised introduction to your brand? If so then our presenter training day will help give you the confidence and presenting skills you need to ensure your videos make an impact and attract clients. Q: Why can't we shoot a whole showreel? A: The very nature of a showreel is to show that you can do a variety of work in different formats. We do not believe it is helpful for you to shoot an entire showreel in one day, in one studio. Please contact us if you would like to discuss having a full showreel made from scratch. This will require a personal consultation before deciding on the most appropriate shoot and style for you. This may include interviews, vox-pops, features, shooting on location etc. Q: Do I pay extra for the photos? We know the importance of having professional quality photos and so have included them in the package. With a professional make-up artist on hand to capture you in the zone, we take up to 50 pictures of you on the day and you can choose your favourite 3 to take away with you. Re-touching is available at an additional cost and we can send the selected photos to you within 3 days. Q: Do we get our hair and make-up done? A: Yes. It's important you look your best on camera- so we provide a professional make-up artist to ensure you're looking and feeling great on the day. Your everyday make-up won't cut it under the scrutiny of the lights and HD cameras so please arrive make-up free and make the most of our experts! Please also arrive with clean hair styled as you feel comfortable (not tied up). Our expert will be able to assist you with this on the day. Q: What to wear for camera? A: Please come prepared to work and dressed to impress. Feel free to bring a couple of different tops to chose from; we can help advise you what works best only from the choices you give us. Avoid stripes, small prints and anything green as you will have the chance to record against a green screen. Think about the type of presenting you want to do. For example, a personal trainer will wear very different clothes to someone who wants to focus on news reporting. Make the most of this opportunity! There is nothing worse than having great footage of yourself and then not being comfortable in what you're wearing. Q: What will I say? A: We will assist you in writing and editing two pieces to camera. If you'd just like to experience being a presenter for the day and absorb all the new information we will happily provide scripts. However, if you'd like to leave with two pieces of footage that are unique to you then come prepared with a clear idea of what you'd like to say. It will help save time on the day leaving you with maximum time in front of the camera. Q: Can you give me some examples of suitable scripts?
