A little rain didn’t stop FSgt. Evans from assisting a stranded motorist with a flat tire earlier today! As it turned out, the gentleman he assisted is a 🇺🇸Vietnam Veteran🇺🇸. FSgt. Evans was happy to assist, as he knows serving goes beyond enforcing the law, but discovering it was a heroic veteran made it a very special experience.💙❤️🇺🇸

“This picture is of my 5 year old son, Ethan Pixley, and Officer Bonds with Jackson PD. Ethan LOVES policemen!! Everywhere we go he seems to find one, talk to them, and give them a hug. But, this time he found a special one.

Officer Bonds invited Ethan to come eat with him at his table and even asked him to pray before they ate. He then spent 20 minutes talking to my son about how important it is for him to be good at school, make good grades, and how to stay out of trouble.

With all the negative attention police get in the world today, I thought it would be nice to hear about the positive ones trying to make a difference. Thank you Officer Bonds for being such a positive role model for my son and many others in the community! Thank you for your service Officer Bond!💙💙

Parenting isn’t for the faint of heart. Grace called this evening, right at dusk, to tell me that she was stranded on the side of the Turner Turnpike. To make matters worse, her phone was nearly dead. Jennifer White was able to get in touch with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, who said they would send a trooper her way as soon as they could. Every fear a parent has concerning their child played over and over in my mind as I tried to get to where she was. I cannot express the relief that I felt when her car came into view with those beautiful red and blue lights flashing behind her! By the time I got turned around, Trooper Zach Hargus 331 was nearly finished changing her tire. He didn’t have to stop. He didn’t have to protect her when I couldn’t. He certainly didn’t have to change her tire. As an Oklahoman, I’m forever grateful to live in a state where we look out for each other and know that we can count on people like Trooper Hargus to do things that they don’t have to do!
