Don’t be shy when writing and speaking the Latin! Learning a dead language or a modern language involves writing and speaking out loud, and it also involves mistakes before you get better. Don’t be afraid of sounding strange or awkward, or silly! You won’t! No ancient Roman native is going to be back from 63 B.C. to criticize your pronunciation of The Catiline Orations. Even though I will actually be impressed with your attempts; as, writing the Latin in beautiful capital letters, making a video reading a small section of the Gallic War, or maybe a small poem of Catullus. What I mean is that the more you write and speak the Latin, the more this dead language becomes alive again, and the faster you’ll learn to correct mistakes; mistakes that we all do make. :)

Latin may be a dead language because there is no ancient Roman native speakers anymore, but it becomes pretty much alive when you read it and speak it. :)

How to master difficult sounds in Latin? Choose one word where the sound occurs and work on that word until you get the sound down perfectly, and then you can use that sound in all other places that it occurs because you've already mastered it. Latin is a dead language because there is no longer native speakers anymore, but it becomes pretty much alive when you speak it; so, start mastering those difficult words when the quantity of the syllable affects how you accent the words and stuff like that. 🧒🎙🎛💻
