Just wanted to confirm that this was aluminum wire. Noob here, don't know to much about different wire and scrapping. Just know that there's roughly 150-200 lb of this and was wondering what it was and if its even worth stripping or not.

Aluminum Classification
Hey metalheads. I’ve recently started separating scrap more specifically, and was wondering if painted cast aluminum would classify with the other stuff pictured. The painted item is an aluminum tire balancer base, and has zero steel. It is 100% cast, just has paint. The other stuff is dead clean, no steel, paint, rivets etc. Just getting to know my aluminum. Thanks!

Im 16 years old so tools and space are kinda hard for me so i make do with what i got. I collect the copper from stuff like ac units or transformers or just wires. The problem comes whit the tools, i have a tool box that im filling but other than a box cutter, long nose, and a wire stripper, i dont really have anything else. I also have to work everything on in my bedroom cuz i dont have a

workshop either.

Yesterday i started working on a transformer that my d and t teacher gave me and usually with the small ones i managed to remove the iron part with the long nose but this one is bigger.

I managed to remove the base part of it with my hands and the long nose but the second iron part (the core) has me stuck because of the glue they used.

Does anyone have any advice to this? id appreciate it
