Last weekend I had the great honor of serving as a Mixer/Mentor for the …Remote mixing Ali Stone’s brilliant production from my studio in Colorado - The Village Studio’s Claudia, Hannah, Nicole and Emily did a wonderful job handling our Remote needs ✨ Having served for three years on the LA Chapter P&E Wing Committee and now into my second year as a Governor - it was such a joy to see this event come to fruition, Powered by

Last Saturday, I had the extraordinary privilege of participating in the GRAMMY's "Craft Sessions: Follow The Song, Powered By " where a team of artists, producers, and engineers got together at the to produce, record, mix, and master 3 songs all within a span of one day. I was mastering remotely from , so there was that extra challenge of broadcasting the session real-time, while mastering all the tracks within 1.5 hours.

Nothing compares to the high you get from working under pressure alongside a team of incredibly talented musicians, producers and engineers. I had a blast, and it was so satisfying listening to the final product by the end of the long day.

Humbled to have been part of this event alongside these brilliant minds: , , , , , . Thank you, and The Village! And shout-out to its badass crew of assistant engineers who kept everything running like clockwork despite how intense these types of events can go: .s, Alisse, Claudia, Nicole, Emily.

One of my favorite questions asked: “How has your experience been as a female in the music tech field…Any suggestions for women who want to follow your path?”…I absolutely love music+audio and the 20 years in LA I’ve been celebrating in the journey. Everyone has their own path - but my suggestion? Find passion in the skills you’re uniquely good at, produce Quality work and earn Respect. This is a Relationships business - and in a current climate where female Producers still make up under 3% of the professional music industry, the glass ceiling is only broken by Respect.
