Our Story

Relativity Media is a next-generation studio engaged in multiple aspects of entertainment, including full-scale film and television production and distribution, the co-financing of major studio film slates, music publishing, sports management and digital media. Additionally, the company makes strategic partnerships with, and investments in, media and entertainment-related companies and assets. The studio has produced, distributed or structured financing for more than 200 motion pictures, generating more than $22 billion in worldwide box office revenue and earning 73 Oscar® nominations. Recent films include: Safe Haven, Act of Valor and Immortals, the latter both opening number one at the box office in their debut. Relativity’s other films include the eight-time Oscar® nominee The Social Network as well as Limitlessand two-time Oscar® winner The Fighter. Upcoming films include 3 Days to Kill, starring Kevin Costner, Earth to Echo, Oculus and author Nicholas Sparks’ The Best of Me. Relativity Television, under the leadership of award-winning producer and CEO Tom Forman (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Kid Nation), has quickly become one of the country's largest suppliers of unscripted television and has recently expanded to scripted programming with the development of scripted sitcoms, dramas, and sketch comedy series. Relativity Television currently has 70 projects in active production, including 17 original series currently airing or that will air in the upcoming television season. The company, which was launched in 2008 as RelativityREAL and rebranded in 2013 as Relativity Television, has overall production deals with TV veterans Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh, Ashley Tisdale’s Blondie Girl Productions, executive producer Ellen Rakieten (The Oprah Winfrey Show), Ray Ricord, Bogner Entertainment and This is Just a Test Productions. Relativity Lifestyle Television, a new division led by former Scripps executive Brian Lando, serves three of the largest categories on T.V. - food, design and travel. Relativity Music Group, a music division of Relativity, provides music supervision, music publishing catalogues and soundtrack services for films produced and/or distributed by Relativity Media and other major Hollywood studios. Relativity Sports is a fast-growing sports agency dedicated to providing high profile athletes a full range of professional development services including contract negotiation, marketing, media relations, fan management, brand building with entrepreneurial ventures, community involvement and personal services. Clients include NBA, NFL and MLB athletes.
