We’re looking for passionate, community-driven creatives to join the post-production team for Best Sellers Studios & Film Forward Project upcoming “Altadena: Deep Roots” Documentary capturing the resilience, history, and recovery of the Altadena community after the Eaton Fire.

Seeking Assistant Editor & Grant Writing Interns (Experience not required. LA-based preferred, may work remotely.)

A collaborative opportunity to gain experience, build connections, and grow alongside an independent documentary team, with potential paid opportunities as the project expands.

We’re proud to announce the three recipients of our Pride Storytelling Initiative x Final Draft 13 Giveaway. Final Draft

At Best Sellers Studios, we believe q***r stories deserve to be told, preserved, and celebrated across every medium. Through our Pride Storytelling Initiative, we’re committed to investing in LGBTQ+ creators and helping remove barriers to bringing their ideas to life. A huge thank you to Final Draft for partnering with us and generously donating three copies of Final Draft 13 to support the next generation of q***r storytellers.

Our first recipient is Shydia “Shy” Juanita, a Los Angeles-based writer with a deep love for character-driven drama. Currently developing two original television pilots, Shy approaches storytelling with heart, humor, and the belief that words have the power to heal. Her passion for television writing and intentional approach to craft make her an exciting voice to watch.

Our second recipient is Gabe, a Los Angeles-based creator known online as Whaadle. A passionate fan of storytelling in all its forms, Gabe is currently developing a q***r POC horror film and plans to use Final Draft 13 to continue building bold, imaginative worlds that reflect the communities he loves and represents.

Our third recipient is London Villamayor, a Pasadena-based actress, writer, and proud trans woman of color who describes herself as “an actress by day and a superhero by night.” Drawing inspiration from every facet of her life, London creates stories that center her own experiences and ensure that trans women of color are seen, celebrated, and remembered with pride.

At Best Sellers Studios, we know that q***r storytelling is more than entertainment. It’s a way to build community, preserve our histories, and imagine new futures. We’re honored to play a small part in these creators’ journeys and can’t wait to see the stories they bring to life.

Congratulations to Shy, Gabe, and London, and happy Pride from all of us at Best Sellers Studios. Keep writing, keep creating, and keep telling the stories only you can tell.
