We’re excited to celebrate our next Filipina in the series, Glad Cedeño! 🎉🇵🇭

She is an MBA graduate in Management Information Systems and a passionate tech leader based in the US, whose journey from a 5th-grade math class to engineering leadership is a testament to curiosity, resilience, and the power of finding your voice. 💡

From her first lines of C and C++ code at 14 to leading technical teams and building community across the tech space, Glad’s story is one of constant growth and purpose-driven work. 💻✨

Glad believes that success in tech goes beyond coding. It’s about resilience and a rock-solid sense of self-worth. 💪 She champions the idea that when the industry tries to shrink you, you choose to take up space instead.

For Glad, Filipinas bring two incredible superpowers to tech: malasakit 💛 (the deep empathy that makes us phenomenal leaders) and diskarte 🔥 (the street-smart resourcefulness that helps us lead with agility even in chaos).

Balancing a fast-paced career with personal life, she stays grounded by setting strict boundaries with her time, pouring her off-hours into travel, cooking, staying active, and seeking new adventures. 🌍🍳🏃‍♀️ She is also an active community builder as a Women Techmakers Ambassador, GDG Los Angeles Co-Organizer, FaithTech LA Meetup Lead, and member of Filipinas In Computing. 🌟

Her reminder to all of us? Visibility matters. 👁️
Seeing women who look like you thriving in technical and leadership roles changes what the next generation believes is possible. 🚀
