🚨 INGLEWOOD FAMILY CONTINUES TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR BRYAN BOSTIC

The family of Bryan Bostic is making it clear they have no plans to stop demanding answers, transparency and accountability from the City of Inglewood.

Bostic, 37, died on March 10, 2026, after being taken into custody following an encounter with Inglewood police. His death has sparked months of protests, emotional City Council appearances and calls from his family for greater transparency surrounding what happened that night. (The Southlander)

During a recent City Council meeting, a family member called in and expressed deep disappointment and frustration with city leadership, including Mayor James T. Butts Jr. The family’s criticism of the mayor and city officials has been ongoing as they continue pushing for answers surrounding Bostic’s death.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined Bostic’s cause of death to be the effects of methamphetamine and ruled the manner of death an accident. His family has publicly challenged whether that finding tells the full story and has pursued legal action against the city. (Los Angeles County Medical Examiner)

Earlier this year, tensions escalated when several Bostic family members and supporters were temporarily barred from attending City Council meetings for 120 days. The City later rescinded those exclusion notices. (Los Angeles Wave Newspaper Group)

For Bryan Bostic’s family, this fight is far from over.

Their message remains consistent: they want answers, transparency and accountability.

🏆🎺 FROM GRAMMY-WINNING MUSICIAN TO SOUTH LA MENTOR — NOW A RAMS pLAmaker.

Fernando Pullum has spent years turning his passion for music into opportunity for the next generation.

The Grammy Award-winning trumpet player turned educator was surprised by the Los Angeles Rams as a 2026 pLAmaker, recognizing his commitment to sharing the performing arts with young people throughout Leimert Park and surrounding South Los Angeles communities.

An overwhelmed Pullum reflected on the recognition — but the real story is the work happening every day at the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center, where children are given access to performing arts education FREE OF CHARGE.

Programs like this matter. They give young people a place to discover their talent, build confidence, develop discipline and see possibilities beyond their immediate surroundings. Media Spill has a personal relationship with the center as the CEO of Media Spill Kutty Briggs son has been at this center for 2 years and has participated in 2 live musical plays with the center.

And “free” for the children doesn’t mean free to operate.

If you believe South LA youth deserve access to music, arts and mentorship regardless of what their families can afford, consider donating to the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center. Every contribution helps keep these opportunities available to the next generation.

👏🏾 Congratulations to Fernando Pullum on being recognized as a 2026 Rams pLAmaker — this is what pouring back into the community looks like.

CALIFORNIA COST OF LIVING IS HITTING DIFFERENT. 💸🌴

According to a SmartAsset analysis, a family of four would need roughly $302,682 a year to live “comfortably” in California using the 50/30/20 budgeting framework.

That puts California among the most expensive states in the country, behind only Massachusetts and Hawaii in the figures cited.

And “comfortable” doesn’t mean just surviving. The calculation assumes income can cover:

🏠 50% — necessities
🎯 20% — savings & financial goals
🍽️ 30% — discretionary spending

For perspective, $302,682 a year is about $25,224 per month before taxes.

For families across Los Angeles and California, numbers like these raise a bigger question: What does “middle class” even look like in 2026?

Is $300K really what it takes to feel financially comfortable in California—or does that number seem way off?

👇🏾 California residents, sound off in the comments.
