The backsplash is currently being tiled. I just came home and saw that he took the tiles all the way to the end of the wall. My kitchen designer had told me a while back that they should stop at the cabinet edge. I texted the designer, but I'm not sure she'll respond on a Saturday. He can remove what's been done already and redo it, but he said he did this because it's close to the cooktop, so it would be better for cleaning purposes. This is how it was in the 'before' configuration, and the designer said it was wrong. Help! I need expert opinions quickly! Thank you!

Parents just paid to have countertops refinished. They were told their only option for sealer was epoxy. Left the job saying this was finished.

Parents paid around $1000.00 to have countertops sanded and sealed. Guy sanded countertop surfaces. Didnt touch the edges. Told them epoxy was the only option for sealer and applied one layer. Said this was finished and isn’t coming back. How awful is this? I believe it’s an atrocious job but not sure what’s acceptable in this trade.

I left the elf to my husband last night. This is what I woke up to. The kids cried because 'now we don't have a TV!' 🤣🤦‍♀️ It's a 24hr YouTube video of 'cracked TV screen' 🤣 that even flickers every once in a while. I'm glad we had an all-day event today; they didn't miss the TV until it was time to play while dinner was being made. Now, Marshmallow (the elf) will be bringing us a 'new' TV tomorrow... according to my husband. He plans to clean it nicely and put a bow on it. So, if you need a TV break or a 2-day elf idea, you could steal this. I'm still laughing at it, but acting pi**ed off at the elf for the kids. I told them she needs flying lessons. My husband says he almost made her drunk; he wanted to tape a tiny alcohol bottle in her hand. 🤦‍♀️ Happy Elf days, y'all!

My student just spent an *entire afternoon* digging through thousands of crayons—like some kind of wax archaeologist—just to find the one elusive, retired Crayola color: dandelion yellow. I mean, really? Of all the shades in the crayon kingdom, they went on a quest for the one that literally got *fired* for being too dull. That’s like going on a treasure hunt and being thrilled to find a beige sock.
She expected me to allow her to keep her bounty to sell on eBay, to which I politely told her no, but did allow her to keep all the broken and ultra dull ones.
36F, middle school teacher, size 8 Crocs/9 uggs.
No banana for scale, and Banana Mania (also a retired color) was not on our radars.
