Silver Linings…
I got up early to drop our son off for a camping trip with his church group. This is what I came home to 🥹💜. This little one was up at 4am whining & having trouble sleeping. I finally brought her to bed with us & she finally fell back asleep 2 minutes before my alarm went off ☠️😳🥱. THIS perfect morning moment was worth it. Look for the Silver Linings! Speaking of… Dan’s leg is still pretty swollen and retaining a ton of water but the infection seems to be staying at bay so that’s good. Thanks for your continued prayers… I’d be lying if I said that this season of life with Dan’s health isn’t mentally & physically draining both of us…

Dan’s being admitted into the hospital again…the infection is ramping up in his leg again… LIFE!🎢

If you missed it, this week our interview with Ed Mylett (that was recorded in May) was released. It was released after several hard months of endless hospital visits and stays. It was released on the morning that Dan’s sister passed away. God’s timing is perfect. This might seem weird but right now I feel like we need to listen to our own interview on replay to remind us of who we are and how much we’ve overcome.

Red Carpet Premiere of SKETCH as a Family! 💜
It was not an easy decision to pack up 5 of our 6 kids and head to California on a whim 😮‍💨😅. A few weeks ago we were given the opportunity to attend the Red Carpet Premiere for new movie . We were so excited at the thought but then as usual all of the reasons why we COULDN’T/SHOULDN’T came rolling in. 1) $$$ 2) Dan was admitted to the hospital again 3) Dan’s sister passed away 4) After having the kids by myself for a few days and juggling that with Dan being in the hospital I didn’t know if I could handle the kids in the car driving from UT to CA 5) We didn’t think 2 of our kids would be able to come because of schedule conflicts etc. etc. etc. ALL VERY CONVINCING REASONS TO NOT GO!

Too many projects and not enough time! 13-year-old daughter offered to come and help see if she could fix the lawnmower after she realized how long the grass is getting. First, she was asking if I needed her to cut the grass and I informed her I do, but I didn’t have a lawnmower for her! Bless her heart she’s over there working on it trying to get it figured out without my help because I told her I can’t spend the time on it right now cause I need to get this card done. We have had it way too long to not be able to use as needed every day! It is silly having to “make do” when we have the answer right here! Hilarious though! My daughter is over there cursing the lawnmower and talking to herself as if I was over there working on it lol the things they learn ha ha

We purchased a second vehicle so that we can tote the kids around to all of their appointments and different activities when Andrea and I are going opposite directions. We do have the Corvette and our great big Nissan van but many times we need to both be moving people around in order to make our days work! Anyways, we bought this vehicle and having to do a lot of things to make it safe and make sure that we feel comfortable driving it around with the kids and Andrea in there! It just turns into one thing after another lol it’s nice to know that everything will be safe and secure and good hopefully, but it’s been bad timing with surgeries and doctor appointments and a lot of activities that have had us anywhere but Home. Almost done with this thing though it’ll be really nice when it’s done! It is a 2003 H2 Hummer! It’s a lot of fun to drive.

12 Years Since the Accidents That Changed our Worlds!!!
Yesterday marked the 12 year anniversary of my now ex husband’s motorcycle accident that left him like a child with a severe TBI (we were married at the time). Today marks the 12 year anniversary of Dan falling 30+ feet to the ground after the trusses collapsed on the house he was building (we didn’t know each other at the time). He landed on his hammer which exploded his vertebrae and left him paralyzed from the waist down. He was in the middle of a divorce already. I was living in a marriage full of love but also a lot of addiction & turmoil. I had two boys (1 & 6). He had 2 girls (1 & 6). On August 6th/7th of 2013 we lived over an hour away from each other and had never met…but both of our worlds came crashing down and left us wondering what the future would hold for us and our sweet babies.

Well… he missed the first day of school but he’s back for the 3rd! We’ll take it! Thank you for all of your prayers. Please keep them coming. We’re obviously happy that Dan is home but also very worried and praying his wounds heal & the infection stays at bay for longer than a couple of weeks!!! 💜

We’ve got a busy weekend but we’re trying to make it a fun one! Andrea‘s birthday is coming up and I was trying to think of things to get her. she already has the coolest most amazing husband in the world so I don’t know what else to get her most of the time! But Benson Boone is in concert in Salt Lake and I know she likes his music! So I got some tickets and we’re gonna go as soon as I get all these projects done. Life is HARD sometimes…
This picture is so sweet on first glance but if you look a little closer you will see that even when sleeping, Dan is in pain & just not doing the best.

Man this has been a hard “season” for us. We have SO MANY projects on the back burner. So many dreams and goals just WAITING. So many things we “need” to be doing but that is not where we’re at right now and it’s extremely hard for both of us to swallow that pill.
