An Aeroplane cleaner was cleaning the Pilot's cockpit when he saw a book titled, "HOW TO FLY AN AEROPLANE FOR BEGINNERS (Volume 1).

He opened the first (1st) page, which said: "To start the engine, press the red button...." He did so, and the airplane engine started....

He was happy and opened the next page...

"To get the aeroplane moving, press the blue button..."He did so, and the plane started moving at an amazing speed....

He wanted to fly, so he opened the third (3rd) page, which said: To let the aeroplane fly, please press the green button...

"He did so, and the plane started to fly.. He was excited..!!

After twenty (20) minutes of flying, he was satisfied and wanted to land, so he decided to go to the fourth (4th) page....

And....page four (4) says; "To know how to land an aeroplane, please purchase Volume 2 at the nearest bookshop!"

Moral of the Story
1. Never attempt anything without complete information.

2. Half education is not only dangerous but destructive!

3. Stay in your lane; stick to what you know and you are good at.

April, 1985, 50,000 feet over the Irish Sea, this is the only picture ever taken of a Concorde flying over Mach 2. The photo itself was taken by Adrian Meredith, a prestigious British photographer, from a Panavia Tornado, a British fighter of the Royal Air Force. Meredith had to be quick and precise, because flying that high he had less than 4 mins to take the shot. The fighter couldn't keep up with the Concorde beyond that time. If you look at the horizon, the Earth's curvature begins to show

MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME I’M MAKING A FOOL OF MYSELF WHEN I SENT HER MY PHOTO IN A WEDDING DRESS
I’m 75 and met Peter in a nursing home. He’s given me the love and care I never had. When he proposed, I was overjoyed and shared the news with my daughter. She harshly replied, “Mom, you’re making a fool of yourself. You’re too old to play dress-up and pretend you’re a bride. At your age, it looks pathetic.”
My heart is broken. Should I cancel the wedding and return the dress, settling for just a family dinner instead?

We both spent 10+ years in active addiction. Our drugs of choice were completely different. We are from opposite sides of the world from each other. Kyra is from England and I’m from America. Completely different cultures and upbringings. However our bottoms were the same. Depressed, lonely and hopeless. We were both beaten and broken by addiction.
The way we both chose to live and act in active addiction affected everyone around us. Today we make sure our recovery does the same. Together we want to make a difference in the lives of everyone we come across.
We are happy and healthy. We are married. We are both parents. We treat each other with love and respect. All of these things are possible because we are sober.
Recovery is beautiful. Connection is beautiful. Love is beautiful.

“Even the rain can’t dampen Raha’s spirit, this little ray of sunshine squeaks with delight at the sight of her Sheldrick keepers each morning. Desperate to go adventuring through the forests and find her favourite soft grass to eat, she will often lead the way with her keepers having to run to keep up with her.
She has recently discovered a new love for splashing in puddles and her inquisitive and playful character is serving her well as she discovers the world around her and learns to survive in the wild.”

hit happens, and you may never receive a valid explanation why. However, the sooner you quit dwelling on it, the sooner you can bounce back.

I was just 15 when I had to face this truth.

Everything was going right in my life, from basketball to school to my relationships. Life was incredible.

But a simple spinal stroke severely disrupted everything.

(Fake smile to keep my mother sane. Trust me, I was not happy.)

When the doctor delivered my diagnosis, I was confused. There was no cure for my condition, and the doctors also had no idea what caused a perfectly healthy teenager to become paralyzed.

Since there was (and still is) no cure, I had two choices:
1. Dwell on the situation and play the “why me” game.
2. Accept that s**t happens and do everything humanly possible to recover.

I wisely chose choice #2. Sure, there were many days where I would get upset. However, I knew the only way to recover was to keep grinding, even when it hurt.

As a result of my choosing choice #2, I’ve not only become stronger physically but also mentally. I’ve learned that standing up to adversity, instead of running away or complaining, only makes you stronger.

No matter what you’re dealing with, realize that you may never receive all or any of the answers. You can’t control what you can’t control. However, you can always choose how you respond.

100 days ago I attempted su***de 4 times in a week and the last and final time I was so intoxicated and high I ended up in the hospital overdosed. I ended up staying in the hospital overnight when my father who committed su***de coming on 24 years ago came to visit me and told me he wasn’t ready for me to join him. Once I was released from the hospital I walked myself into an AA group and that’s when recovery began. I joined a home group and got a sponsor and began the steps of recovery. A week later my oldest son had called me to meet his son (my grandson) that I hadn’t seen yet. I went over and as soon as I walked in my little 10 month old grandson smiled at me and hugged me. I believe my father lives in him and my grandson knew who I was. Ever since then I am grateful to have my little star in my life and my dad is my higher power and I am grateful to be on this life long journey called recovery.

”Emotional day. I went to McDonald’s today a place I never go to but I’ve been working so much I just needed something quick. I get to the window and the young man handed me my coffee . I noticed the cuts on his wrists. Tears just started flowing. When he came back to give me food he saw me and said “sir are you ok.” I told him “ I’ll be ok if you just promise me to keep fighting. I can see your peace has been drained and your happiness has been stolen, but God is getting ready to grant you a joy that can never been taken from you.” I pulled away and just sat in the parking lot to get myself together. 5 mins later that young man came running out to my car crying and asking me to pray with him because today was the first day he felt alive and that someone cared for him in 4 years. Today he gave his life to Christ!!! And I’ll be meeting his parents to get him some help later this week!!! Church doors maybe closed but God is still moving. Y’all continue to pray for our young people. We are all in this together!!!”

I just want all my fellow Newberry citizens to know that I have given in to code enforcement and got rid of my boat due to it being parked in my very own driveway. After reading the Newberry codes, I have learned that it is against the rules, and for that, I am truly sorry. To the 0 citizen that complained, I am sorry. I will continue to strive to be the best Newberian I can be. So with that being said, I converted my boat into a planter. I read the codes thoroughly and didn't find rules against a planter in the driveway.

"I was caught in the Delta delays for two days. Stuck in Atlanta trying to get to Chicago. Lots of unhappy people and angry passengers. However to me the Delta employees were all amazing. Case in point. I saw a mom traveling alone with her three kids. One baby. One had to go to the bathroom. The other didn't. So this Delta employee sat with the little girl and let her play with her hair to pass the time. I was in line for about 20 minutes and she let her do her hair the entire time. I thought it was such a sweet gesture. The little girl was smiling and so happy and I'm sure it made things a lot easier for her mom stuck in the airport. This made me smile. After two very frustrating days."
