We Are a Small Nation Scarred by War — We Don’t Want It Again, But We Won’t Bow to Bullies
To the international community,
We, the Cambodian people, cannot stay silent while lies are spread across the internet by those who attacked us first.
Why would Cambodia—a small country still healing from decades of civil war—ever be the one to fire first at Thailand, a larger and more powerful nation? Think logically:
We have petitioned the ICJ, the UN Security Council, and appealed to international law. Would any nation looking for peace initiate an attack knowing they are seeking justice through legal diplomacy?
If Thailand truly believes itself to be a “developed” and “civilized” nation, why would it respond to disagreement with fighter jets and bombs? Why are they invading historic heritage zones like Preah Vihear?
Cambodia has lost too much to war already. We know the price in blood, in lives, in hope. We would never wish that upon any people, not even those who look down on us.
But we are not weak. We will never be submissive to threats, arrogance, and invasion.
What hurts even more is how Thai officials and media are mocking our people, they even attacked brutally on our people who resides in their country, calling us backward, spreading fake images and propaganda online. They say we attacked them first—they forget we have evidence. They say we hurt civilians—while they send fighter jets into our land and attacked on our innocence people, which thousands of families forced to fled from their home.
We are not looking for war—but we are not cowards.
We are asking for truth. We are calling for justice. And we are standing for our motherland, our temples, our people, our nation..
This is not just about borders. This is about dignity.
