🩰✨ A Final Bow for a Ballet Icon ✨🩰

After 29 incredible years with American Ballet Theatre, Gillian Murphy has taken her last graceful bow with a mesmerizing performance of Swan Lake. From the delicate beauty of Odette to the fiery brilliance of Odile, she reminded us all why she’s one of the most beloved dancers of her generation.

Though her pointe shoes are retired, her legacy will live on—through the dancers she inspires, the stages she’s transformed, and the artistry she’s shared with the world. 💫

Julio Bocca 💥 [ ]

This recording was legendary back in the days of videotapes! 🎥 Julio Bocca and Alessandra Ferri in the iconic Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux — pure fire on stage!

We used to call this variation the “60-second challenge” — because that lightning-fast circle of double assemblés at the end? 😱 Unforgettable then, and still jaw-dropping today. Judging by his expression during the bows, even he was surprised by the tempo!

And don’t get us started on the 4 double tours in the second half 🔥

Despite all the technical brilliance, Bocca still manages to stretch his feet beautifully — and those heels lifting off during preparations (which some old-school teachers would definitely side-eye 👀) only add to the lightness and flight.
