When people ask me if I’m a dj I usually say I play music, Derrick Carter is a DJ . Seeing him dj in the early 90s in Chicago changed my love and expanded my love of music. It was so awesome to see him djing and celebrating for at Ravinia. Special bonus two of the best performers on earth on the main stage with and . I got to see so many amazing Chicago House heads. It’s been far too long. There is nothing like seeing Chicago dance to house music. The Joy, Love and Acceptance are unparalleled. Thanks .hammbones for letting me tag along.

This project was a multi-year labor of love—handmade kaleidoscopes, spatial audio, restored archival voices, and mythic storytelling—all woven together to guide viewers from ego to awe and back again.

What began as a solo experiment in a garage workshop grew into a collaborative dream with some of the most visionary and generous people I’ve ever had the privilege to work with.

Some stills from . Inspired by the Light Artist movement of and the kaleidoscopic dances of . Every frame features real light and color, all to bring you into a state of awe and wonder. As a DJ, I looked to bring my skills of remixing to remix light, color and sound. All of the pieces were made from handbuilt , laser light sculptures in collaboration with the brilliant laser artist and field record with 360 footage I recorded of my favorite places, from the icebergs of , flower fields of Carlsbad California , the lakes of Northern Minnesota (shout out to ), and to the sunny beaches of Malibu. The Psychedelic Mixtape is premiering April 17 at Cosm’s 12K LED dome in LA with premiere additional weekend screenings on Albert Hoffman’s Bicycle Day 4/19, and 4/20.

After opening weekend, it will be playing at throughout the summer as a part of Cosm’s
