The lightest beer… can’t believe I did this

Don’t normally drink (M24) but I’m quitting w**d for a new job and decided I’d buy some alcohol for the first time this year

Walked into a gas station 10 mins before close and was poking around in the fridge before settling on Mich Ultra

It was Mich Ultra Zero. I was thinking, *ooo less calories? Pretty blue color? Sold!*

Anyways, got home and opened one up… it says 0.0% alcohol on the side 😭.

I didn’t even see it :(

I can’t return it, I don’t get paid until next week and I’m low, so that’s it. I have beer flavored water this week and nothing else as I go through detox 🫠.

I probably grabbed the only nonalcoholic box in the whole damn fridge! The worst part? It was still $20 for a 12 pack, meaning I paid almost $2 per can for beer water. And, if I want to go get another case, I’ll be out $40+ just for a 12 pack. That’s *four* hours of work 😵‍💫.

It needs its own section, I *feel* like I just got scammed.

Edit: yes this is my fault for not reading the box and no I wasn’t actually scammed! I just grabbed a box quick and trusted that it was beer from the beer fridge. On me.

Overall, it’s a bummer that I have to quit w**d and no, alcohol will not be my replacement for it—I don’t really like alcohol much as it is. The most infuriating thing about all of this is our federal laws 😭.

Edit 2: *once again,* I do not plan on replacing ma*****na with alcohol—I just wanted a few beers this week. I appreciate everyone looking out but it’s insane the amount of comments I’ve gotten talking about how much of an addict I am because I bought one case of (FAKE) beer *this entire year*. I’m fine, and I’m not even buying real beer now anyways!

Was showing off to my sister what I would’ve given her (plus the nice smelly peony downy) had she just gone to the laundromat to dry my laundry because ours is broken and realized the pods only filled half of the container so I counted it and….37 pods.

Can’t tell if Tide is filling some containers an accurate amount and others less or if sb just stole some.

I'm ditching my longest running friend group because someone drugged me

Last night, I went to my friend's place 2 hours from home for 4th of July. I've been part of this friend group since 2nd grade, now we are all at the end of college. It started out bad since I was the last to receive an invite, and I triple checked with the host when he said to show up at dinnertime. Sure enough, everyone else had been there since noon. If I wasn't so far from home I would've gone back there and then.

Later in the night, I make myself a mixed drink using the same type of cup 2 other girls were using. I also go to smoke 2 bowls. One was w**d I brought, from a dispensary, the other was a friends who insisted that it was clean and also from a dispensary.

30 minutes after I smoke, as I'm drinking my drink, I start to very quickly feel horrible. It feels worse than any high I've ever had, and I've greened out before. I throw up (thankfully in the toilet), but instead of feeling relief, I only feel worse. I very quickly realized either I was drugged or the w**d was laced. For my own safety, I dragged myself to my car barefoot through mud, and slept in the back. I woke up with a searing headache. I quietly packed up and left to go to a diner to figure things out.

I'm leaning towards my drink being spiked instead of the w**d being laced because whatever entered my system felt entirely bad, and I've heard fent at least makes you feel good for a bit. I'm pretty sure I know who the intended target was, but I can't figure out who would spike her drink. Either way, with the mix of not inviting me at the same time as everyone else and being drugged, safe to say I won't be hanging out with them again.

\*\*UPDATE: some of y’all are ruthless 😆 but I got my vent out and that helped. Also I realize it’s trivial and I got my attitude checked. But please note, this was an INTERNAL overreaction that I came to a forum about. I didn’t actually do anything at the bar. It was more about the proximity of the freebie than the alcohol itself. But like I said, attitude checked and perspective changed. Entitlement reined in 😂

Took myself to dinner tonight as a treat at a restaurant I’ve come to really enjoy. It’s farm-to-table, pricier, and a beach town, but overall a great dining experience. I stuck myself at the end of the bar next to the wall because I’m solo (place just opened and it’s a mad house as it fills in) and feel I was an easy guest; knew what I wanted, no special requests, little chats with the bartender. Everything was GREAT and bartender was awesome. Food, drinks, service \*chef’s kiss\*.

SO, I get myself an espresso martini for dessert and the bartender had a fair amount of extra, little over a half glass, and he gives it to the girl sitting DIRECTLY next to me. I felt so deflated, then annoyed, by this because if you give extra of the drink I bought, just don’t do it next to me! My meal, for one person, was $110 and it just seemed like it’d be a nice thing to give to me… or to someone else that I would not have had to hear saying to each of their party of five, “oh they had extra from her drink and gave it to me!” This small gesture would’ve been so nice after a rough day (first world problems) and giving the extra to someone in my vicinity was just, bleghhh.

I didn’t have it in me to say anything, it just would be too awkward, but it did completely change my mood for the night. He handed me the bill shortly after this (I had asked) and I tipped $25. I guess just needed to vent and get validation or good shake to get my ish together. It’s been a day.

PS I have bartended and served for over 16 years and I would either have given it to the person buying the drink or someone across the bar. The drink was $16.
