A blonde driving a car became lost in a snowstorm. She didn't panic however, because she remembered what her dad had once told her. "If you ever get stuck in a snowstorm, just wait for a snow plow to come by and follow it." Sure enough, pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it. She followed the plow for about forty-five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. And she explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in a snow storm, to follow a plow. The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done with the Wal-Mart parking lot, do you want to follow me over to Best Buy now?"

"Yesterday i had a call from an elderly lady who had 3 fence panels blow down in the bad weather. I went out to take a look within an hour as she was quite distressed and worried about the security at her home. I repaired the fence for her same day and when asking how much she owed me, i decided nothing. she was reluctant to let me walk away without a payment but after a short conversation with her, she explained how she struggled to keep on top of her bills but the fence repair was a must. I can't believe some of the older generation are in a situation where they have to decide whether to be warm or in this case have a secure fence.

Due to this, throughout the bad weather we are offering FREE Fence repairs to any senior citizens who are struggling, All i ask is you provide me or one of my team with a cuppa tea and some biscuits.. My company is at a size where i can give a little back, and that's what i intend to do. Please spread the word so our elderly aren't worried about security this winter.

"Dear Chick-fil-A,
I stopped at your location on Rockville Rd. in Indianapolis, IN an hour ago. The line for the drive-thru was pretty long, so I decided to go inside. When I entered, I saw a gentleman behind your cash register, who was working with a neck brace & a sling. For anyone to work in those conditions is commendable, but it's amazing for someone in his generation to have that type of work ethic. When I placed my order, I asked him what happened to him. He said he was involved in a car accident days earlier, but was working because he needed the money and that he also wanted to use his money to feed the homeless for Christmas. And of course, he was polite and courteous.

I, along with some friends of mine, plan on making a donation to him to help him and his cause, and I wanted to know if your company would be willing to match what we contribute, or even sponsor his organization and provide all the food/drinks needed? His name is Jakeem Tyler."

"This little fella was having a tough morning and fell out on the floor. I seen his mother step back and look. She stated this is how he is expressing himself lately. I decided to get on his level and talk to him. He started to cry so I wiped his tears and told him it will be ok. As an adult sometimes all we want is one person to stop, get on our level and maybe wipe our tears. These children are entitled to bad days just as us, so give them that moment to bring it together. Get on someone's level today and make them smile!! Spread PEACE and LOVE you might be that person that gives them hope!"

"If you walk into our classroom now, you'll see a bag hanging by our door. This bag contains everything our class carries to school that we consider problems or bad things in our lives. The things that distract us, sadden us, or make us angry.
Something I have found in common with every student conversation about something upsetting them is that the student believes he/ she is the only one who has a problem, hard life, family problem, whatever it may be.
So today, we all anonymously wrote down on paper what was heavy on our hearts, crumpled them up, and threw them in. I mixed them all up and students had to pick one up and we all read them out loud. I could not believe some of the things they have to deal with at home, and neither could their peers. It resulted in a lot of tears, a lot of hugs, a lot of 'I had no idea so many people had hard things to deal with too.'
The message of the project, as I discussed with them, is that you never know the weight that people are carrying. It is so important to remember that when we interact with others. I wanted them to see that they were not alone and that they had a whole class of people who could relate and support them.
Our stories now hang by our door as a reminder to remember the "bag" others may carry with them."

"So here I am sitting at a tire shop in Oro Valley AZ when 3 OVPD officers come in, all of which I happen to know. I said hello to Sgt Gracie and began to chat. He said they were just on a disabled vehicle call with an amazing 97 yr old man/WWII vet. His tires were very bad and he had a flat. Money was tight for him. The squad all came together and bought new tires for this gentleman’s car. The officers were incredibly humble and said “hey, we gotta take care of each other right.” These selfless acts of kindness happen every day in law enforcement . Take care of your law enforcement officers, they certainly take care of you and your loved ones!"

When I was a fresh mom with two under three my card got declined in the checkout line. The baby was in the carseat, the two year old was asking for bubble gum and chocolate bars. I felt like I could just melt into the floor. Without missing a beat the man behind me in line handed the cashier his card. "I've got it." He said.

That was ten years ago, and I will never forget it.

When I worked at a coffee shop we had someone buy their own coffee and then anonymously buy the next person in lines coffee just saying "pay it forward". The next person was shocked to hear their coffee was covered and said, "well I want to buy the one for the next costumer". The pay-it-forward lasted most of the afternoon with people buying other peoples drinks. My friend at the cash register was near tears by the end of her shift.

I won't ever forget that day and I doubt she has either.

One time in the Target line a mom with a brand new infant and two littles who were crying and clinging to her legs asked if I might hold her baby for a minute. I took that baby and rocked her in my arms until she stopped fussing.

I bet that mom remembers that day, I know I do.

When my toddler was somewhere between threenager and fournado she threw I giant tantrum in a shopping center. I held her on a park bench while she screamed like I was her kidnapper. A couple older ladies stopped and said, "You're doing an AMAZING job mama, hang in there!!"

I will never ever forget them or their words that day.

In a train depot in France we were lost and confused trying to figure out where to go. An older man sitting near us accidentally dropped some cash on the ground. My daughter who was six found it and returned it to him. He and his friend loaded us up with snacks from their bags and then in broken english asked if we needed help. They ended up walking us all the way to our next train and riding it with us for a while just to make sure we didn't get lost.

We won't ever forget those two men.

One time on a family road trip we stopped at a roadside cafe to get lunch. When we went to pay we found out that another couple had already bought it saying that we had a "sweet family".
You better believe we will remember that forever.

Kindness is so powerful. It can be such a little thing like buying someone's coffee or giving an encouraging word to someone who could use it. You just never know the impact it might have. My guess is that most of us remember the times that someone stepped out of their own life just to bless ours.

What little things can we do this week that just might last with someone for a lifetime?

Happy almost Thanksgiving friends ❤️.

Love,
Jess

The beautiful, well-versed 83 year old lady, fully dressed every morning at 8 am sharp, with her hair done in fashion and perfectly applied makeup, is moving to a retirement home. Her husband recently died, which motivated her move.
After many hours of patiently waiting in the hall of the home, she smiled sweetly, when told her room was ready.
As she moved her walker toward the elevator, she was given a detailed description of her small room, including the curtains hanging from her window.
′′ I love it ", she said, with the enthusiasm of a 8-year-old girl who was just handed over a new pet.
- Mrs. Jones; you haven't seen the room, just wait.
- That doesn't matter, she replied.
Happiness is something you decide over time. Whether or not I like my room doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged, it depends on how I arrange my mind.
I’ve already decided that I like it. It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. I have the choice; I can spend the day in bed, going through the difficulty I have with my body parts that don't work, or get out of bed and be thankful for the parts that do work.
Every day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open, I will focus on the new day and the happy memories I've stored just for this time in my life.
HAPPINESS is like a bank account: you withdraw from it, what you deposit.
So my advice would be to deposit a lot of happiness into your memory account.
Remember these five simple things:
1.- Free your heart from hate/discord.
2.- Free your mind from worries.
3.- Live Simply.
4.- Give more.
5.- Take less.

"When he fell in love with her, she was 13 years older than him. When he married her he was 28 and she was 41.
After trying to get pregnant and many miscarriages, he stays close to her and supports her. They decide to adopt two children and build their own family.
He is dealing with cancer 6 times. She supports him.
Their marriage is 26 years old, scandal-mongering magazines continue to talk about how sexy he is at 53, how fit she is at 66, and at the same time Hugh Jackman and Deborah Furness upload joint photos on Instagram ignoring comments and toxic critics.
Every relationship has its own story.
Her own path.
But common to all relationships that remain alive, it is not love.
Many times love alone is not enough.
It's the decision to be there, no matter what happens along the way.
Choose to stay when the going gets tough.
To see the world with the same eyes
But don't let it get in the way of your life's journey."
