US pop sensation Fifth Harmony are set to take the UK by storm next month with the release of their debut single âSledgehammerâ.
Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Camila Cabello, and Dinah Jane all auditioned as solo artists for The X Factor USA in 2012, and under the guidance of mentor Simon Cowell formed the girl group âFifth Harmonyâ. Fifth Harmony went on to capture the hearts of pop fans across America with their show-stopping vocals, undeniable charisma, and genuine sisterly bond.
Fresh from finishing third on the series, being immediately signed to LA Reidâs Epic Records and Syco Entertainment by Simon Cowell, 5H got to work in the studio with producers such as Julian Bunetta, Savan Kotecha and The Monsters and the Strangerz to create their debut EP âBetter Togetherâ which immediately stormed the top 10 charts in 41 countries. âBetter Togetherâ reached #2 on iTunes and Top 10 on the US Billboard 200 and was swiftly followed by #1 singles in 19 countries, including the Wallpaper-produced girl-power anthem âBo$$â which reached the top 10 in 31 countries.
With two Gold-certified singles in the US and a global army of fans, the fierce fivesome are now ready to take on the UK charts and take to the UK X Factor stage with their debut European single âSledgehammerâ.
Written by global chart-topper Meghan Trainor, the track couples the girls impressive vocals with a sweet hook that demands multiple listens.

Winners of the âArtist To Watchâ Moonman at the MTV VMAâs, Fifth Harmony represented North America in the battle for âBest Worldwide Actâ at the MTV EMAâs in Glasgow over the weekend, after overwhelming fan support and were also crowned âBest US Actâ. The group were also nominated for the âArtist on the Riseâ award.
2014 has been nothing short of sensational for 5H. With even more chart success, a huge US tour with Austin Mahone, six US Teen Choice Award nominations, two Radio Disney Music Award wins including the âBreakout Artistâ, and a partnership with Mattel that has seen the release of their own Barbie doll range, their arrival in the UK could not come at a better time.
