"I snapped this picture the other night at the end of a long day. I was tired. I was irritated. I had sent my husband a text telling him that I knew it wouldn't make a difference, but I wanted him to know that I was feeling fed up with how much he works and with all that I have to do everyday by myself. The full time job, cooking dinner, bathing kids, weekend trips without him, keeping up a home, you name it I was resenting it. I have to have these little moments once (ok several times) throughout planting and harvest season. Then this happened. He came in, fixed his plate and sat down to eat all alone. He was tired. He was hot. He was exhausted. Rather than complain, he said he was sorry I was tired and felt that way. Charlotte joined him and talked his head off and even ate most of his dinner. He didn't complain. He shared, and it hit me. Do I wish that we saw him more than an hour or so a day? Yes. But, the love he has for his craft is something to envy. Farmers work in a thankless profession. It's always non GMO this and organic that, and let's not even talk about the stress from Mother Nature. This is a man who is working to uphold 4 generations of blood sweat and tears and showing his children the value of hard work and discipline. So while I felt frustrated, I really should have felt thankful. I got to sit down to dinner and hear all the stories from the day with the kids. I got to give them a bath and hear their squeals and giggles. I got to snuggle and love on them for 3 hours more than he did. He is the one sacrificing, not me. We will keep on keeping on until the next rainy day when we get a few extra hours with our hard worker. In the meantime, the next time you slip into that comfy cotton shirt or eat delicious farm fresh food, thank a farmer. Where would we be without them?"

"I was pulled over Wednesday morning by a TN State Trooper. When he came up to the car he asked 'Why are the two boys in the back seat not in car seats?' My answer was the two little boys were my foster sons who I had just got the night before. I showed him paper work and explained to him that when I got them they had the clothes they were wearing and that is about it. No carseat, no toys, no coats, and so on. He was very nice to the kids and to me. He asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him. His wife called me and asked about the boys. This morning Officer Tidwell met me in Waverly, him and his wife had purchased gifts for the boys. Not just the two boys in the back seat but, their older brother too.
I cannot thank him enough for the kindness he has shown these three boys. I never asked him for anything. He and his wife acted out of the kindness of their hearts. He showed these boys that there are very nice cops out there and I hope he has left a lasting impression on them that cops are good. The boys have been telling everyone that 'cops are nice.' He has made their day. You hear way too much negative stuff now days so, here is some good news for you all."

My Father-in-law lives independently. He is 92 and although spritely in personality, has slow movement. We rang him yesterday to check in after the wild weather. After making sure he is okay, he said “I’ve got something to tell you”.
He then told us how he had gotten his groceries and took them to his car. A young gentleman (now that could be anywhere from 12 to 70, when you are 92) stopped and said, “ I will help you put your groceries in your car.” Dad wasn’t sure at first but then said thank you and the man then unloaded the groceries and made sure they were secure. He even took the trolley back too.

A couple of days later, Dad was at the bank in the queue, when a ‘young’ man behind him said, “I will hold your place, while we wait. There is a chair over there, go and sit down.”
Dad said, “Oh, why? Was I swaying or looking feeble?”
The man replied, “No, I just know my Dad would find it hard to stand for so long.”

So Dad gratefully went and sat down. When the time came for Dad to get to the top of the line, a nod of the head and a smile conveyed gratitude and acknowledgement.
Dad said to us, “I’m happily surprised by the respect and care shown by these two ‘young’ men.”

So, from us to those two men of indeterminate age, we say thank you for helping Dad in small but meaningful ways.

My Mum is 89. A few weeks before Christmas her elderly dog died and she was heartbroken. She’d decided not to get another dog because she didn’t think it would be fair to a dog as she is disabled and doesn’t think she’ll live for long enough to outlive it. However, a dog rescuer that had rehomed dogs with her in the past, knew her old dog had died and when a little 12 year old dog came in who’s elderly owner had died, she phoned Mum and asked if she’d be interested. By then, she was feeling very lonely without a constant companion so said she’d give it a go and see how it went. As you can see by the photo they got on very well and are blissfully happy. Both of them have got a new lease of life and adore each other.

This afternoon, I was hanging out in Bantry Bay waiting for a client when I noticed this guy putting two big bags into the trash bin. About fifteen minutes later, he showed up with another two big bags of rubbish and tossed them in too. When I came back 45 minutes later, I saw him filling up two more big bags and decided to chat with him. He shared that he feels “embarrassed about the pollution” and wants the beaches to look nice for tourists and for the ocean. He does this all on his own without being asked, and he doesn’t even have a job! He told me he cleans the beaches every day just because he wants to “make the place nice.” Then, with so much pride, he pulled out his temp ID to show me his name. I ended up buying him lunch and walked away feeling so proud of folks like him who live in our beautiful country. What a legend, Siyabulela Dan Magobiyane! City of Cape Town, you should definitely give this man a job!

Update: Magobiyane was homeless and jobless when Jay Margolis shared this on Facebook. He’s now been offered a job with a waste management service and has found affordable housing.

I am asking for prayers for my son Ledger. We found out at the beginning of the month he has B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and I made my first ever post on here asking for prayers for his first surgery.
Unfortunately we’re back at Primary Children’s where ledger has had constipation and he might have to have surgery for a hole in his intestines. please pray with us that he won’t need surgery and that it will be an easy fix and that he can regain his health.
I ask for prayers for my son and for me and my husband ❤️❤️
Thank you all❤️

Muhammad Ali, the legendary heavyweight champion, once encountered an unexpected challenge that baffled even him—a 76-year-old former World Bantamweight Champion named Johnny Coulon. Despite standing just 5 feet tall and weighing only 110 pounds, Coulon possessed a remarkable trick that left even the strongest men, including Ali, powerless to lift him. The secret? A clever technique that Coulon had honed after retiring from boxing in 1914.
Coulon's act, which became a sensation on the vaudeville circuit, seemed simple. He would let a heavyweight boxer, wrestler, or weightlifter attempt to lift him. At first, the lifter could raise him effortlessly. But then, Coulon would employ his hidden move—a subtle grip on the lifter’s wrist combined with a precise touch on the neck, near the carotid artery. And just like that, the lifter would find Coulon completely immovable, no matter how hard they tried.
This mind-bending trick stunned Ali and countless others, raising questions that still linger today. Was it leverage, pressure points, or some mysterious boxing wisdom that made Coulon unliftable? His secret remains one of the most fascinating and mysterious stories in sports history. .
