Right now, bad actors can exploit communication gaps between different agencies, but a merger would completely wipe out those legal and bureaucratic hurdles. 🚨 Three major bridges in Kyiv are paralyzed this morning

Following the overnight Russian attack, traffic on the Pivdennyi Bridge and Paton Bridge was completely shut in both directions, while the Metro Bridge was closed toward the right bank. Public transport is being rerouted via the Darnytskyi and Podilskyi bridges.

The day before, Russia carried out several strikes near the support section of the Pivdennyi Bridge.

No strikes on the Paton or Metro bridges have been reported, but both were also temporarily closed amid the aftermath of the attack and traffic restrictions.

Two US officials told Axios the push could start within days, with Yemeni government troops on the ground and Saudi jets overhead, after the Houthis seized the coast that controls the southern gate to the Red Sea.

It's the second time Washington has told MBS no, even as the US has handed the Saudis more than 200 Houthi targets in two weeks.

Staying out of the shooting is the right call, but 200 targets is already a foot in the door, and if the offensive stalls, the pressure to send American jets will land right as three carrier groups pile in for Iran, stretching a Navy that's already running thin.
