October 30, 1938. Orson Welles broadcasts a fake Martian invasion on CBS Radio. Families pack cars. People wrap wet towels around their faces in Newark. One woman stands at the top of her stairs, child in her arms, ready to run from nothing.
But the real manipulation hadn't started yet.
Newspapers — already bleeding advertisers to radio — took that panic and stretched it into a national catastrophe. Screaming headlines. Manufactured hysteria. And suddenly, a fiction became a lesson in control: if you shape how people retell a story, you own the fear.
That playbook never stopped.
Media isn't the danger. Media is the aftereffect — the tool used by those in power to steer what you do with the truth after you've already heard it. The War of the Worlds wasn't the first lie. It was just the first time they did it loud enough to leave evidence.
We're still living in the retelling. 🖤

Through the story of Orson Welles, this episode explores why radio became more than entertainment. It became atmosphere. It became trust. It became psychological theater. It became a weapon of imagination.
For me, this broadcast was one of the reasons I became obsessed with radio. Not because I wanted to deceive people, but because I understood that a voice in the dark can create worlds, move emotions, trigger fear, and make listeners question what is real.

VAMPIRO WRESTLING NEWS NWE ANNOUNCES THE LEGENDS TOUR 2026

Nu Wrestling Evolution officially announces the NWE Legends Tour 2026, an eight-event tour across Spain and Italy this November.

But this tour is only the beginning of a much larger project.

NWE’s ambition is clear: to become the leading platform for professional wrestling in Europe and a reference point for the next generation of wrestlers and fans.

The goal is not simply to bring international stars to European audiences. It is to discover, develop and showcase a new generation of performers capable of inspiring fans around the world.

As part of this vision, wrestling icon Vampiro remains an integral member of the NWE ownership group, helping shape the identity, strategic direction and future growth of the company.

Beginning his professional wrestling career in 1984, Vampiro built one of the most recognized international careers in sports entertainment, performing throughout North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. Following his recent retirement tour in Mexico, he remains active both as a performer and executive while contributing to the continued expansion of NWE throughout Europe.

The Legends Tour represents the first chapter of a broader strategy that includes regular live events, original content production and the development of a new generation of European wrestling talent.

Many more names will be announced in the coming weeks.
