Thirty-five movies will spend roughly $635.3 million across 1,049 shoot days in California. Producers sing the praises of LA crews and express appreciation for the tax credit.

“I’m thrilled to produce Last Friday right here in Southern California, where our cast and crew lives,” said Ice Cube in a statement. “This story has been part of the fabric of South Los Angeles since our first film 31 years ago so producing the film here with more than 180 local cast and crew underscores the value of the California production incentive program."

“Our film is set in the Chicano communities of Los Angeles, and it simply wouldn’t exist if we couldn’t shoot here,” said Victoria Alonso and Tom Culliver, producers of Leaves of Glass. “We are incredibly excited to showcase a side of Los Angeles rarely seen on camera, and work with the greatest crews in the world.”

From feature films and television to commercials, music videos, reality, stills, and our NEW New Media category, this year’s finalists showcase the incredible talent and creativity of California’s location professionals and public employees.

The 4th season of 'Tracker' premiered on CBS this past Sunday.

Coordination and support from FilmLA team members helped make this season happen, with filming spanning across LA County (Rocky Buttes movie ranch) and LA City with specific highlights on The Port of Los Angeles. Our Insurance Department also provided detailed support, working closely with Port of LA to achieve the fastest permit turnaround for the LA Port to date.

Location Manger and FilmLA Board Member Veronique Vowell notes, "For Season 4, 'Tracker' has relocated production from Canada to Southern California with the support of the California Film & Television Tax Credit Program, creating additional opportunities for local crews, businesses, and communities."

Charlie & Martin Sheen To Star As Father & Son In Comedy Series ‘Happy Jack’ For AMC
