When you take apart your wood stove and chimney to move it and find very little creosote. This wood stove was installed in 2016 and the flu has remained untouched for virtually nine years. The most I found was in the elbow that leads to the vertical chimney. I dumped it out on the deck to show how little it actually was.

Does anyone else own a Morso 7110? Do you notice any difference at all when you adjust the secondary air supply? I think I’ve tried just about every type of seasoned firewood available in my area, and I never visually see a difference in flame and it doesn’t seem to adjust the heat or burn time no matter where the lever is at.

I know these Fisher stoves have an almost cult-like following but I don’t really know what it is, or what’s it’s worth. ...

I know these Fisher stoves have an almost cult-like following but I don’t really know what it is, or what’s it’s worth. I plan on selling it snd would like to know what to ask. It seems unique with the right side exhaust and oven. Anyone know anything about these? Located in Northcentral PA.

Not sure what this is. I have an 8 year old wood burning insert, that gets the flue professionally cleaned yearly- and I always get complaints on how clean it is from them. Is it Mold? Is it residue from the black shingled roof? Or is it soot from the fires? The house and chimney is 32 years old.

I see a lot of people using IBC cages to store their firewood. I cut them down and make self-wicking, raised bed containers. I DID come up with a use for the scrap part of the cage tho. With a few casters, I made a few mobile wood racks. Until I can come up with something more ideal, I’ve been using an old metal shed that came with our property to store our wood. It’s not perfect and there is a lot of dead space in the middle, so going to use these to maximize the area until I come up with something else.

Doing a test fire with the new chimney, I think its going to be a game changer.
