I just saw Russell Malone last October in NYC at Birdland playing with Ron Carter's Golden Styker Trio...He always had a smile a warm hand shake and a "How ya doin man ? " everytime we met. He was only 60 years old whe he left us yesterday and left a huge dent in the Jazz Guitar world.
Thank you for your gift to this world Russell may you RIP.
