📽 Night Has Fallen (2025)
🎬 Official Trailer | Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, and Scarlett Johansson
In Night Has Fallen, former Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is pulled back into action after a coordinated wave of cyber-terrorism and bombings paralyzes world governments. When Air Force One is grounded and the Capitol suffers a devastating internal attack, President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) barely escapes with his life. All signs point to an elite paramilitary group known only as Black Dagger, operating globally with inside access.
Banning is recruited off-grid to lead an unsanctioned black ops team, but he discovers that the threat isn’t just external — there’s a mole inside the U.S. intelligence system. He’s partnered with Alina Drake (Scarlett Johansson), a fiercely skilled cyber-intelligence operative with a dark past and her own agenda. As Banning and Drake hunt down the Black Dagger leader across Berlin, Istanbul, and D.C., they unravel a deeper plot: a nuclear device has been placed in the U.S. capital, hidden beneath a major diplomatic event.
Banning must make impossible choices, including confronting a former ally turned traitor and risking civilian lives to save the President. Alina uncovers that the attack was orchestrated not just for destruction — but to reset global power balances.
In a blistering final showdown near the Washington Monument, Banning defuses the device with seconds to spare, but Alina disappears with critical data that could expose every corrupt official involved.
The film ends with Banning, bloodied and exhausted, watching the sunrise over a still-burning Capitol — knowing that peace has come at a heavy cost, and the war in the shadows is far from over.
