Ive been with my girlfriend for 5 years now and we live together. She is an only child but is really close to her cousins daughter who is 16. My gf is 24. Her cousin has another daughter who is 10. Horribly her cousin and her husband were in a car crash and they didn't make it.

My gf is devastated and has been trying to be there for her cousins daughters. My gfs aunt and uncle initially said they'd take the children on to live with them but social services said they can't as they're both late 70s and not in great health and they don’t have the room as they’ve only got one small spare bedroom.

My aunt's husband ("John") has known me since I was a kid, and we used to be very close. We'd spend hours talking about movies, TV shows, books, and the stories I like to write. Everything changed last year.

At my aunt's birthday, I arrived before almost everyone else. I tripped, scraped both knees badly, and they were bleeding. I (26M) was in a relationship with my girlfriend (24F) for three years. We recently broke up, and I want an honest, outside perspective on whether my logic was flawed or if I was wrong for walking away.
About a month ago, we were talking about s__ She firmly stated that she isn't ready and wants to wait until marriage. I want to clarify that I completely respect her boundaries and her right to choose when she is ready.
However, the issue is that for the entire three years we’ve been together, anytime I’ve tried to bring up our future, long-term plans, or marriage, she completely dodges the conversation or changes the topic.
When I pushed for a serious answer about our future last month and got ignored again, I got incredibly frustrated. To me, the math didn't add up. My stepsister and Ive been sisters since i was 4. Shes been in my life longer than I can remember and we had a pretty good relationship. My fiance(27m) and I(26f) are planning on getting married in 08/22(waiting for everything to be safe again) and Id planned on having her as a bridesmaid until this year. She got engaged back in 09/18 and had her wedding this past month.

She asked me to be a bridesmaid early on and of course I agreed. I was so excited for her. I wanted to help out as much as I could.
