When Alain Matz and Candi Alvarez met each other at editing school, the last thing they were planning on was starting a production company together, but they did, and Candiland Productions is that company! Alain has always been a film geek, something Candi "claims" to have wanted nothing to do with. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BA in 1994, Alain headed west for superstard
om. instead, he got 10 years of production experience on music videos and commercials. He took a break only to write and produce a feature film called..."Sasquatch Hunters." While his mother refers to is as a piece of c**a, it's still a movie in a time when getting anything made is a small miracle. After that came a Head Writer position on Megas XLR at Cartoon Network and a Story Editor job on "Pucca" for Disney. Candi brings a completely different perspective to Candiland than her geek spouse. After a successful career in auto finance, Candi wanted to get into the entertainment industry, a longtime dream of hers. She enrolled in Video Symphony and quickly became one of the savviest editors in her cohort. A fan of music videos and reality TV, anything with a fast pace, Candi impressed the other students and her instructors. Together, Candi and Alain have a unique vision in a world drowning in the same old stuff and bring it to every project they work on.
