PASADENA, Calif. – The Pasadena Tournament of Roses® proudly announces that Earvin “Magic” Johnson will serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Rose Parade® presented by Honda! 🏀✨
Tournament of Roses President Mark Leavens revealed the exciting news at Tournament House as Johnson made a grand entrance to Michael Jackson’s “Do You Remember the Time.” His selection perfectly aligns with this year’s parade theme: “The Magic in Teamwork.” Some call it coincidence… we call it Magic!
Magic Johnson is not only a legend on the basketball court—five-time NBA champion, three-time MVP, Olympic gold medalist—but also a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist. As Chairman & CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, he has transformed communities through investments, partnerships, and programs that uplift and inspire.
Johnson also co-owns multiple sports teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Sparks, LAFC, Washington Commanders, and more, while supporting community initiatives like LA Rises to aid wildfire recovery in Southern California.
