Busy with a million wonderful things! My newest project, Gotcha Outside, is a hunting and fishing mentorship program for kids. Here is the new logo.

I am filming two trips coming up with contest winners. One on Lake St. Clair for smallmouth with Captain Doug Samsal and our winner, Tyler and his Grandpa, and the other on Lake Michigan for salmon with Captain Richard Laaksonen and our winners, Josh and Emma and their parents. Likely some Lake Erie walleye action, as well.

I will be meeting with many organizations over the next several months to try and garner more support for this awesome program so that we can add more and more trips to the schedule. Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far, and I will be contacting you shortly with info. on this year's sponsorship format. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in being a part of it in any way!

The Gotcha Outside logo now joins the Gotcha Productions logo on the #19 car raced by Derek Wiley in the ARCA Super Outlaw Late Division. Look for our car racing now throughout the midwest!

Thanks to everyone who helped with Outdoorama! It was an overwhelming success. Showing up directly from Europe, I was in another time zone, tired during the day and awake all night. I couldn't have done it without the help of Ron, the Huron Sportsmen's Assn' and my parents, Rob & Teresa. And a very big thanks to Doug Samsal, of Doug Samsal Fishing and Myron Gilbert, of the USA Ice Team for making appearances at my booth. It rocked! I also owe a lot to the positive energy brought by my Gram, Maureen, Mike, Jenae, Joey, Lillie, Lee and Ashley and all of the exhibitors, vendors, staff and outdoor folks I've known the past decade who made it feel like family, and especially all of your smiling faces who showed up at the booth! I am in awe of your support. Thank you!!! I am now back in the office and will be attempting follow-up with everyone from Rama and be spending long hours in the edit suite, creating videos from the World Ice Fishing Championship in Belarus. Been producing content with minimal equipment over here in Belarus. Due to the country's restrictions on total weight of luggage entering the country, I had to pack extremely light. And still no tripod (mine remains at the airport in France from the trip here), but I'm making due. If you could see the behind-the-scenes on how I have been compromising, you'd definitely laugh at me. Smoker's posts and trash cans have been very helpful to get certain shots! LOL Most of the video editing will begin when I get back and after I spend four days at the Gotcha Productions Outdoorama booth. After a long day, each day, and all of the evening festivities, I have been pulling footage and photos from the cards and posting lots of pics to the US Ice Team page for our friends, family and supporters to see. With the time change, it's nearly midnight here when I finally have time for that. I did less production today, as I spent most of my time with Coach Gruett on the ice, gathering information for map-making, since no electronics are allowed and it all has to be done by hand. I checked the depth with a hand reel around the entire grid of the competition zones, and even after last night's relaxing banya experience, I am sore due to the equipment weight I carried on my back for several hours while kneeling up and down on wet ice to check dozens of holes. But I love it!!! The experiences we are having as a team are so wonderful and I can't wait to share some of them through video. I am looking forward to getting back home to better equipment to ease the post-production process. That's when I will really begin getting videos completed and posted on the page. I don't look at this as a normal shoot. It's just me and my team, including many from around the world who have become like family, and I'm capturing it all the best I can with what I've got, which is minimal. Sure do wish it could be covered with a large crew! I have been involved in so many exceptional moments with this Federation around the world the past six years, MANY of which are missed on camera, because I'm the one hitting the record button, but I'll never forget! I am so thankful to be a part of it, and my russian comprehension is improving greatly! Thanks again to everyone for your support of our team. I'm so proud of these guys for both their fishing ability as the best in the world, and their good character. They are truly exceptional men of integrity and I am honored to be their "little sister" and teammate. I'm looking very forward to this weekend's Championship, where we will be working toward the gold medal. Wish us luck! I'd like to sign off with our team motto for this year, "PDAT!" Travel went great except my tripod is still in Paris. LOL That's okay, I got this! Going to get a few hours of sleep and then hit the ice for some fishing! I'll be updating the USA Ice Team page with photos and video throughout the week, so check it out!
