If you've got 5 minutes it was an entertaining interview from a team that normally only cover music or film, and this is their first voyage into the written word! I was of course surprised but excited when they got in touch.
What we talked about... famous people from Birmingham; the 2009 recession and how that got me into reading and then writing; my publisher MONOLITH and how great they are; An American Werewolf in London; The ‘80s; authors such as Clive Barker, Arthur C. Clarke, JG Ballard, Marquis de Sade, Leonard Carrington, and William S. Burroughs; how I got into Synthwave and working for DRIVE Radio and then Lazerdiscs Records; David Cronenberg and ‘Videodrome’, and of course the soundtrack and short story publiscation that are ‘Thank You Mr. President’.
Fun and a first for me as an author! 🙂

I’m excited! So excited the Pointer Sisters should be put on ice! My first story as an audio book is being released the end of this month! And what a way to start with ‘Thank You, Mr. President’!
Surreal psychedelic sci-fi horror with a stab at humour and current issues brought forth into an apocalyptic re-birth of humanity. Also contains a very long pen*s/graphic material (in context...).
I am so thrilled that John Michael Lowe - musician, author (MONOLITH), voice actor - got involved and brought the story to life! He has done the story a service to say the least. Check out his impression of ‘Mr. President’... Michael completed this in only a few takes, too, which will only showcase further his limitless talent.
And to have a track by him featured on a soundtrack alongside the following artists, whom all said ‘yes’ to being a part of without hesitation, has had me jumping for joy... Powernerd, Until Ben, Aeronexus (worked with me on ‘New Heights’ and ‘Ravensbank House’), Baldocaster, Francci, and NIKY NINE. All wonderful artists who have tried something different to create a soundtrack that is befitting of the story... and the film if anyone wanted to have a crack at it.
So all that’s left to say is thank you to all involved (Mr. Absolute Valentine to name another) and I really hope you enjoy the release via Lazerdiscs Records 🙂
