REN PRAKKE
Lauren Prakke is a lecturer, writer, advisor and curator of contemporary art. She is the founder and chairwoman of Tate Young Patrons, which is the fastest growing group at the Tate. As the founder of Prakke Contemporary, her work has focused on nurturing emerging artists and producing projects such as the critically acclaimed PLAY, which took place in an enormous deserted townhouse in Mayfair and was produced in collaboration with Paradise Row. She proudly serves on the leadership circle of Women for Women International. Lauren hails from Manhattan, New York and made her way into the art world after a successful career on Wall Street and in The City. She has also had a longstanding passion for literature and theatre after earning degrees with honours in 19th century English literature. MICHELLE YUE
Michelle Yue is an interior designer, philanthropist and producer. She currently serves on the board of the Robert HN Ho Family Foundation, a privately funded philanthropic organisation which supports Chinese arts and culture. The Foundation’s recent projects in the UK include the Robert HN Ho Family Foundation Gallery of Buddhist Sculpture at the Victoria & Albert Museum; The Emperor’s Secret Garden, a documentary film made in collaboration with The Prince’s Charities Foundation; and the UK premiere of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre’s Wind Shadow. Michelle is also a trustee of The Millby Foundation, which supports women’s and children’s causes, with a particular interest in the arenas of education and public health. Our Think Tank:
MARCUS WARREN
Marcus Warren is a Writer, Director and Filmmaker. Marcus released his first feature film The Heavy in early 2010 in cinemas across the UK, and is now working on his follow up films, The Pitch and Of Flesh and Blood as well as developing future projects. Marcus has also directed music videos, worked on hit television shows including ‘In Living Color’, and worked as director/cameraman for international press coverage of various studio productions and actors including Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Anthony Hopkins. Marcus currently divides his time between London and Los Angeles and was the creative director for Restless Buddha’s inaugural production A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer. AMBER HSU
Amber Hsu is a Wordsmith, Designer and Artist. She is a member of the East Asian Writer’s Program at the Royal Court Theatre and recently held a writing attachment at the National Theatre Studios to adapt a script by the Nobel Prize-winning playwright/novelist Gao Xingjian. She has also exhibited photography, illustration and sculpture, and has helped costume and style rock bands and Royal Opera House sopranos. Amber also serves on the fundraising committee of Solace Women’s Aid, a London-based non-profit organisation that provides refuge and assistance to women and children affected by domestic violence.
