We’ve only been texting for about four days and had one 30-minute call — which he started out of the blue. During it, he went on this weird rant, joking about race, gender, and even the movement, saying something like, “You didn’t think we’d let you get away with it — the MeThree movement is coming.” 🙃 Oh, and he also tried to tell me my allergies are all in my head.

Shame me, make me feel bad, rip me to shreds for those cringy af texts I sent begging a guy to hang out

It’s been a couple of months now, but looking back at those messages still makes me want to crawl under a rock. I’m so embarrassed.

I had a crush on this guy and really thought the feeling was mutual — that he actually wanted to hang out. But he never made any real plans and eventually ghosted me. I won’t lie, it hurt a lot more than it should have.

In a weird way, I just need someone to tell me how dumb I was for sending those messages and throwing away every ounce of dignity I had — so I’ll never, ever do it again. Thanks.

I (18) matched with this guy (22) on Bumble BFF hoping to meet someone nearby with similar interests. But this whole thing feels really weird, right? While grabbing socks from my ex’s drawer, I found a Ziploc bag with a pair of women’s socks inside and a note that said, “I hope you enjoy your gift!” I’d been in that drawer plenty of times before — this was new.

When I asked about it, he brushed it off, but this wasn’t the first red flag. He’d always been secretive with his phone and once snatched it back when a message from “Olivia” popped up. He claimed it was about a custom painting for my birthday… four months away. My birthday came and went — no painting. Instead, on Christmas, I got a photo of my late family member and pet run through a watercolor filter, which he tried to pass off as an “original.” I’m a professional artist — I knew better.

I’ve been free for a few months now, and only after leaving did I learn he was cheating the entire time — even days before our wedding, while accusing me of doing the same. He read his vows with tears in his eyes, and a week before, was planning a th*****me.
