Opened Instagram today and the first thing I saw was biting into a huge, glorious sandwich.

A sandwich that I did not have.

I went from perfectly fine to STARVING in about 12 seconds.

Then I remembered I had Yo Egg | Egg-Scuse-Me Sunny Side Ups in the freezer. Trader Joe’s hash browns. Bread. Avocado. Some cilantro hanging on for dear life. Vegan mayo. And, most importantly, black salt.

I keep black salt on me now. You simply cannot live without it.

Sunny side up eggs were the very last food I gave up before going fully vegan. They were my childhood comfort food, and I genuinely cannot describe how strange and wonderful it is to eat something again that has the taste, texture, and RUNNY YOLK I remember so well.

Except no chicken had to suffer for me.

Toast. Vegan mayo. Avocado. Crispy hash brown. Sunny side up Yo Egg. Black salt. Fresh cracked pepper. Wilted cilantro because we waste nothing around here.

Guilt free food for my soul 🍳

And there ain’t no way I’m letting you go now.

From the alleyways at night to the Colosseum at noon, filling our bellies with fresh, cold water in the warm Italian air💧

One of my favorite things about Rome is the public drinking fountains, called fontanelle. In Rome, the iconic ones are known as nasoni, or “big noses,” named for their curved spouts.

They’re scattered throughout the city, offering free, fresh drinking water to anyone passing by. A simple public resource woven into everyday life, with roots in Rome’s ancient relationship with water.

POV: You’re trying to romanticize your life but your husband is also living in it.

Foraged mushrooms. Fiddlehead ferns. Native sage. The delicate twist of pasta.

And then there’s Jordan.

Anyway, I think we need to normalize using the actual audio because whatever is happening in the background is usually better 😂

⚾️ A night at Dodger Stadium, courtesy of the Department of Angels 💙🤍💙

was lucky enough to receive 12 Dodgers tickets from departmentofangels and share them with friends and families impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires.

The Dodgers may not have pulled off the win, but we had such a great night together. It was a much needed break to simply go to a game, laugh, eat, cheer and enjoy an evening together.

board members Jordan and Sara brought their children, Alita and Sebastian, and shared the night with friends Sadiha and Marco, RP President Aleksandar and Cindy, and of the Palisades YMCA, Mira Hals and JoJo.

Jim has played an enormous role in the Palisades wildfire recovery, so we especially loved getting to share some fun with people who have spent so much of the past year showing up for our community.

Jim and company did go rogue and relocate themselves to some empty seats they deemed more suitable 😂 We spotted them across the stadium and managed to wave to each other from afar. Can you spot Jim? Swipe!

And right in the middle of the collage is Katie from the Department of Angels, who made this night possible for all of us. 💙

Thank you, Department of Angels, for giving fire impacted families a night at the ballpark and a chance to make some happy new memories together. It meant more than just Dodgers tickets ⚾️

And because we love our Dodgers AND our planet, we have one request for the Stadium: please stop giving fossil fuel companies some of the biggest advertising space in the ballpark. That enormous 76 logo looming over the outfield is a real eyesore.

We can cheer for the Dodgers without cheering for fossil fuels 💙🌎⚾️

😂 Let’s just say I’m fun at parties 🎈 Vegan S’more’s were promised, to which I replied 🥁 🥁 🥁

I realize my statement isn’t the most accurate way to describe the making of marshmallows, but it’s close enough to reflect the real horrors of the situation.

Dandies Marshmallows 🤍

We infiltrated the system 🥷

Resilient Palisades meets Rick Caruso. One of us knew who the other was.

Hudson, however, clearly knew exactly who we were. 🐕

We had Rick cornered and made zero environmental demands. Please recognize our restraint.

We grabbed our reusable shopping bags and made our way to the opening of the Palisades Farmers Market, where we were overjoyed to see so many familiar faces.

…even if our faces weren’t familiar to all 🥹

🤔 Apparently we need a bigger marketing budget...
