Reggae artist Peter Tosh was born in rural Jamaica on October 19, 1944. There, he started the band the Wailers with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer, and the three rose to fame as successful musicians. Tosh enjoyed musical success after leaving the Wailers and embarking on a solo career. Tosh was killed during an attempted robbery at his Jamaica home in 1987. In 2016, his family opened a museum dedicated to the artist in Kingston, Jamaica. ~biography .com

STAGES OF LIBERATION ~❤️🖤💚

In our human evolution, we either move from one stage to another, or we find ourselves limited or confined in a stage without the capacity to make progress beyond the clear parameters of that stage of development.
In a six-stage Spiritual Development Model, here are two stages of the six stages(the other four stages are outlined in our book "Meditation for African Americans - Igniting the Inner Light."
STAGE I: CHAOTIC - SELF-CENTERED
Stage I is defined as a period of undeveloped spirituality and a basic state of confusion or chaos. Grown-ups who have not advanced beyond childhood development are incapable of loving others are identified at this stage.
At this point, they are likely to think of themselves as loving and may pretend to be, but their relationships are manipulative and self-serving. People at this level are usually self-centered, egotistical, dishonest, and unaware of the world outside of themselves...
STAGE II: In stage II development, this group needs strict boundaries and consequences. As we develop as human beings, this is a necessary part of our development. Thus, parents, schools, churches, and other institutions impose these limits. Here people find discipline, boundaries, and certainty, which give them stability.
Many never advance beyond this level from a spiritual perspective, as they fail to develop these limitations. They are likely to end up in strict institutions such as the military, which is good at dealing with people with chaotic upbringings.
As people mature, they accept the values and opinions of their social or religious group. They often develop a strong sense of right and wrong, true, and false, black and white. They interpret beliefs. Moral rules are absolute and unresponsive to changing circumstances.
Though these beliefs are often deeply held, they may go unexamined as these people do not yet understand the spirit of the rules. Bottom-line, they just follow the dictates of the group. This person has not thought about the reasons why they hold their beliefs.
