I had been married to Mark for almost ten years. We had two children together, and I thought we were genuinely happy.
About a year ago, I accidentally uncovered Mark's affair. I was using his laptop to pay a bill, and there were hundreds of messages from his lover.
The most painful part? The lover was my best friend Lena, someone I'd known since childhood.
When the truth finally came out, Lena only smiled and said:
"Sweetheart, WE CAN STILL BE FRIENDS. You can't tell your heart who to love and who not to, right?"
After that, we divorced. I tried to move on, but the ordeal was far from over.
A few months down the road, there was a knock at my door — it was Mark and Lena.
They told me with excitement that they were getting married, and they INVITED ME AND MY KIDS TO THEIR WEDDING.
Mark explained:
"The kids should come to their father's wedding. It's a celebration, right?"
I was stunned.
"ARE YOU COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MINDS?"
Lena calmly replied:
"Sweetheart, we've always been friends. So come celebrate with us!"
Their attitude infuriated me, but I kept my composure and answered:
"Sure, of course I'll come to your wedding."
An idea formed in my mind — a gift they would never expect.
After the ceremony, while the guests were seated, the host carried out a large gift box.
Lena and Mark looked pleased, certain they'd received something impressive.
Lena quickly opened the box, and her face turned white.
The whole room became silent.
Then, Lena shouted, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" ⬇️
