NIL Settlement Update: Class counsel for 646,000+ former college athletes in the $2.8B NCAA NIL settlement said they will ask a federal judge to bar class members from directing payments to third parties without tax disclosures. Attorneys warn some athletes may unknowingly sell claims for less than their tax liability. Judge Claudia Wilken previously denied a similar motion, citing procedural grounds.
