Sardar Md. Abdus Sattar, Chairman of Gono Odhikar Party, Receives Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani Honorary Award

The 11th founding anniversary of Dhaka Cultural Organization was celebrated with due dignity in the capital, Dhaka. On the occasion, a discussion meeting, an honorary award ceremony for distinguished personalities, and a cultural program were organized in memory of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani.
Today, August 30, 2026, at the event held at Jalpai Restaurant and Party Center in New Eskaton, Dhaka, the Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani Honorary Award was presented to Mr. Sardar Md. Abdus Sattar, Chairman of the Gono Odhikar Party.
The chief guest at the event was Rezaur Doula Chowdhury, former Information and Research Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The event was inaugurated by Md. Sabbir Ahmed Rony, Chairman of the Bangladesh Journalists Unity Alliance. The keynote speaker was Md. Saiful Alam Babul, Chairman of the Bangladesh Cultural Unity Alliance.
Yubraj Khan, Chairman of Nirapatta Chikitsa Chai (NICHITA), attended the event as a special speaker. The program was chaired by Md. Sakhawat Hossain Shuvo, Managing Director of Marriage Solution BD and Adviser to the Dhaka Cultural Organization.
The speakers recalled the political, social, and humanitarian contributions of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani. They also emphasized the importance of further strengthening cultural activities for the welfare of the country and society.
Following the discussion session, honorary awards were presented to distinguished individuals. As part of the ceremony, the Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani Honorary Award was presented to Mr. Sardar Md. Abdus Sattar, Chairman of the Gono Odhikar Party, in recognition of his contributions.
The event was moderated by Mohammad Hossain Rabbani, Convener of the Event Celebration Committee. Leaders of the Dhaka Cultural Organization, cultural personalities, journalists, writers, and people from various professions attended the program.

Relief Assistance from the Government of Bangladesh for Flood Victims in Nepal

The Government of Bangladesh has taken an initiative to send relief supplies to Nepal as humanitarian assistance for people affected by the recent devastating landslides and flash floods in the country.
The relief supplies include tents, mosquito nets, packets of dry food, flashlights, shovels, sleeping bags, water containers, body bags, and other essential items.
