A PORTRAIT OF ORLANDO SIMIELE AND HIS LITERARY JOURNEY TOWARD ACADEMIC HONOR

Orlando Simiele, a young author, emerges as a guardian of literary authenticity.
A native of Caserta, he grew up in Persano, a hamlet in the municipality of Serre (SA). From early adolescence, he demonstrated a profound interest in poetic expression, jotting down reflections and verses in simple personal diaries. This precocious creative impulse evolved over time into a mature literary vocation, which materialized with the publication of his first poetry collection, “Frammenti d’Amore” (2016), published by “Il Saggio.” This was followed in 2018 by the publication of the book “La Fonte della Vita” (The Source of Life), also published by “Il Saggio.”A PORTRAIT OF ORLANDO SIMIELE AND HIS LITERARY JOURNEY TOWARD ACADEMIC HONOR
Simiele’s poetics were initially distinguished by his use of rhyming couplets, a stylistic feature he gradually abandoned in favor of a more fluid, introspective poetic prose, intimately connected to the dimensions of love, spirituality, and personal experience.
His style has been enriched over time thanks to a continuous process of existential reflection, deeply inspired by human values.
Reading the young poet’s verses, we note that his writing style is characterized by a combination of analytical depth and expository clarity, with a refined yet accessible language, free of rhetorical complacency.
His texts are permeated by a striving for authenticity and a desire for truth, expressed both thematically and formally.
His works display a solid argumentative structure, accompanied by a strong emotional component, which never lapses into sentimentality but translates into a precise ethical awareness.
The author has received numerous national and international awards, including literary prizes in Cairo and Bern, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in “Philology and Literary Criticism” by the Dynastic University Academic Institute.
He has also been included on the Wikipoesia portal, in recognition of his significant contribution to the contemporary poetic landscape.
Simiele currently lives in France, near Geneva, where he continues to write and promote cultural and literary projects aimed at dialogue, cooperation, and the dissemination of human values through the spoken word.
Even though he is far from his homeland, he maintains his passion for writing and the promotion of human values, precisely through literature.
Through his pen, we rediscover the beauty of the authentic word, as well as the desire to build cultural bridges that unite people beyond ethnic differences.
One of the most appreciated traits of his work is precisely the coherence between thought and action, and in this often turbulent world, his voice resonates like an echo of solidarity, understanding, brotherhood, and peace.
He represents one of the clearest examples of how youth is not a limitation, but rather a resource when combined with ambition, talent, and perseverance.
Born in 1986, Simiele has transformed a natural inclination toward writing into a solid, coherent, and ever-evolving path.
Even at a young age, he has perceived the word as a tool for inner exploration and a means of building human and spiritual bridges since childhood.
His early texts demonstrate a sensitivity uncommon for his age, combined with a discipline that is undaunted by the slow pace of literary construction. His choice to remain faithful to an authentic expression, far removed from trends, demonstrates the strength of a project that has never been swayed by the rush of immediate results. Ambitious toward his goal, he has chosen to grow gradually, seeking out comparisons, deepening his knowledge, and enriching his education through international experiences.A PORTRAIT OF ORLANDO SIMIELE AND HIS LITERARY JOURNEY TOWARD ACADEMIC HONOR
The accolades received were not just awards, but milestones in a journey toward continued cultural and personal growth, as well as a symbolic consecration of this journey: a young man who, through his words, has established himself as a serious voice in prominent academic and intellectual circles.
The most striking trait in his profile is his ability to combine passion and rigor, spontaneity and method. Despite his youth, Orlando has already built a wealth of expressive power that speaks to the heart and mind, and which holds much promise for the future. His ambition is not a sterile race for success, but a profound desire to leave a mark, to contribute with his voice to the cultural and spiritual growth of the community.
He has chosen a path based on depth of content and coherence of style, yet from his earliest days he has demonstrated a rare awareness, tackling existential and spiritual themes with a sensitive and lucid gaze. His writing is characterized by a constant striving for meaning, an exploration of the human soul that is not satisfied with the superficial. The ambition that drives him translates not into a mere search for visibility, but into an inner need for truth and dialogue.
His youth, far from being a limitation, has imbued his thought with an original energy and a language capable of engaging different generations. This is what makes him such an interesting figure, along with his ability to combine intense reflection with a fresh perspective. His works, never predictable, pose profound questions and offer food for thought for a sincere dialogue with the reader.
It is precisely this combination of lucid ambition and authenticity that distinguishes him: a young yet solid voice that continues to grow without losing its integrity.
And in today’s literary landscape, this is perhaps the rarest gift.
Among the numerous accolades received throughout his young but intense career, some stand out, as testament to the international relevance of his literary and cultural voice.
On April 16, 2025, in Mexico, the Global Federation of Leadership and High Intelligence awarded him the Honorary Doctorate of Literature (Doctor Honouris Causa H.C.).
We can say that this recognition
represents a highlight in Simiele’s career.
This title was awarded not only for his contribution to literature, but also for his commitment to promoting authentic communication and ethical journalism.
Simiele expressed deep gratitude for all this, emphasizing how it represents the realization of a dream and confirmation of the value of his artistic and human journey.
I would like to add that this degree undoubtedly represents one of the symbolic pinnacles of his journey, but it is not an isolated case.
Simiele had previously received important literary awards in Italy and abroad, including recognitions in the fields of poetry, essays, and culture.
International Doctorate in Communication Sciences Applied to Journalism, from the U.P.T.E.A.G. International University, International Academic Center and Affiliated Partners (Sardinia, USA, Switzerland, Albania), on October 14, 2024 in Cagliari, Sardinia.
Similarly, he has received recognition in other countries for the humanistic value of his writings, which often transcend linguistic boundaries to strike a deep global chord.
In 2022, Simiele was officially recognized by the Municipal Library of Sicily (Partinico branch) with his inclusion in the Register of Contemporary Poets and Writers, a recognition that testifies to his growing presence in the national literary scene.
December 15 of that year thus marked the first institutional recognition of his talent.
In March of the following year (2023), he joined the World Union of Poets, an organization founded and directed by Cavaliere Silvano Bortolazzi.
In this context, he was awarded the honorary title of “Grand Squire” and reached 115th out of 126th place in the poetic ranking for literary merit, during the ceremony held in Sestriere on March 6th.
This induction represents international recognition of his poetic creativity and cultural commitment.
On January 1, 2024, he was awarded the noble title of “Knight of the Kingdom of Indonesia” by the Javanese Aristocratic House B.R.Ay Puteri Donna Dayu Kencana Soekarno of Surabaya.
Academically, he received the honorary title of “Doctor – Professor of Humanity” from the “Prixton Church & University” of Miami, Florida.
Two further noble recognitions followed:
On February 12th, he was proclaimed “Ambassador of Peace in the World for Poetry” by HRH Prince Don Vincenzo III di Paola Bourbon d’Orléans.
On February 20th, he was awarded the title of “Marquis of Lodi” by the Most Serene Princely House of Our Lady of Sion, at the behest of Prince Don Roberto Bordonate.
Last year, on March 4, 2024, he received the title of “Duke and Knight” of the Sovereign Hereditary Kingdom of Rhodes, an honor bestowed upon him by His Royal and Imperial Highness Salvatore Calafiore, Prince of the Royal and Imperial House of Calafiore d’Amato dei Paleologo.
In the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Azabache Central Foundation of Poets, Writers, and Artists for World Peace and Human Rights, Dr. Nessy Tibisay Till Hernandez, PhD, President and Sociocultural Ambassador of F.A.C.P.E.A., in accordance with the agreements reached on June 15, 2025, by the F.A.C.P.E.A. Board of Directors at its meeting and by the Department of Academic Studies of the Chair of Artistic Sciences in its mandates and responsibilities, confers upon him the title Honoris Causa.
These honors, in addition to recognizing his cultural and humanitarian work, attest to a rare series of recognitions obtained at a young age, making him a singular case in the contemporary intellectual scene.
These awards, therefore, are not merely honorary milestones, but rather attestations to the value of a journey dedicated to truth, beauty, and meaning. But it must be emphasized that Simiele does not only seek recognition: above all he seeks the root of authenticity, and precisely for this reason he is recognized.
His recent, significant award, an honorary degree received in Mexico on April 16, 2025, confirmed the value of a career that, despite his young age, has already achieved international recognition.
In February 2021, Simiele received the prestigious international recognition: he was awarded the title of “Doctor Ambassador of Peace and Human Rights” by the World Literary Forum for Peace and Human Rights, in recognition of his ongoing commitment to promoting culture as a tool for dialogue and reconciliation.
This title confirms his early humanistic vocation and his interest in ethical and social issues that permeate his intellectual output.
Simiele has expanded his literary horizons by collaborating with the magazine “Agire Sociale New,” published by the Fondazione Calabrese Onlus Pina Alessio of Gioia Tauro (RC).
On January 1st of the same year, he published the article “In the Dances of a Land of Hope,” in which he reflects on the contradictions and promises of his homeland, intertwining autobiographical elements with sociocultural considerations.
This was followed on August 1st, 2022, by the article “Paradise Lost. Loss and Search for a Forgotten Inner Peace,” in which he introspectively addresses the theme of human fragility and the pursuit of inner balance.
In 2023, his journalistic work also extended to two regional newspapers: “La Voce agli Italiani” in Cosenza, where he wrote several literary and cultural contributions, and the online portal CefaluArt, which focuses on Sicilian art and culture. Through these collaborations, Simiele consolidates his role as a committed intellectual, capable of combining personal reflection and social analysis with accessible yet deeply refined language. He successfully combines enthusiasm, ambition, and analytical depth, thus building a cultural journey that reflects not only maturity but also an ethical vision of knowledge.
