Thoughts on utilizing the space below our stairs linking the kitchen and living room? Unfortunately, plants are not an option as my pets will damage them. We do have a hall table that could fit, but open to alternative ideas.

What can I put on these stairs? Help thank 🙏🙏

Behold in my own apartment the “booth.”
CONTEXT: so we toured an apartment that was supposed to be similar to our current one because the current tenants were still in it at the time. The floor plan said booth so we thought maybe like a restaurant booth or something idk. So a month and a 10 hour drive later and here we were. I was using this as a desk every or less for my wfh job, but I recently changed jobs so now what should I do with it and has anyone ever seen anything like this?

My cleaning lady didn't mention this yesterday. I'm just noticing it today. I let her know, and she said she didn't cause it, but it wasn't there before she cleaned yesterday. I'm uncertain what action to take next.

Help! I have this section of my kitchen I need to fill. I had wallpaper and shelf there with liquor displayed but I gave up alcohol and took it down. I need to fix the baseboard this weekend and I got wallpaper that will look good to also put up...but then what? I need ideas to fill the space. I can't afford more cabinets right now.

Help! 🫠🥴
My husband is removing the carpet to install new flooring, and we found that the floor underneath looks like this. Is this the actual flooring? Or is it the wood underlayment that goes beneath the floor? Does this mean the previous owners didn’t even bother to remove the old flooring? What should I do? How do I clean this? 🫠😂

My contractor just installed our appliance garage doors and I definitely misunderstood how they’d open. I assumed they’d open like a garage and instead they slide up. Is this something simple enough to fix with a hinge or am I stuck?

Not many people would know what this is... but if you do, you're a true classic!

First Trex Deck - Advice Needed

Questions:
1. Am I being nitpicky or that customer?
2. Or are my concerns valid given the situation?

We’re having a Trex deck built in our backyard, and a few issues have come up. The deck is being picture-framed, and originally the installers used grooved boards for the picture frame and the step boards. Fortunately, my father-in-law noticed this, and they replaced those with bullnose boards.

While replacing the step boards, I noticed that some had cracks along the edges. I had already brought up these issues with the main contractor, but they told me to talk directly with the subcontractor because they had an emergency on another job. I did as asked, but more cracks showed up, and one of the stair boards isn’t even aligned with the others.

At that point, I messaged both the contractor and the salesperson, saying I needed them to come address these problems because I was no longer comfortable communicating directly with the subs. I pointed out the remaining cracks and the uneven stair board, and the contractor said he’d take care of it.

When I came home that evening, none of the issues had been addressed.

I’m spending around $30k on this project, and I’m getting increasingly frustrated. I don’t want to be unreasonable or nitpicky, but I also don’t think it’s too much to expect the job to be done correctly.

First time laying Ivp, thoughts?

I know I missed on the pattern in some places, definitely should have done more planning when doing four rooms together. Coretec Ravenswood Oak. Still a bc bit of a construction zone so excuse the mess.
