From Cleveland dreamer to cultural trailblazer, Arsenio Hall is reflecting on legacy, purpose, and fatherhood in “Arsenio: A Memoir.”

During a recent signing at Lore Leimert Park — owned by his son Cheron — Hall shared the moments that shaped his journey from magic shows and stand-up comedy to redefining late-night television with The Arsenio Hall Show.

More than a memoir, the book is about vision, ownership, and documenting his truth in his own words.

Luxury has a new address in the South Bay.

Lavae McClinnahan is redefining coastal dining with Montauk — a space where food, music, and design come together to create an experience, not just a meal.

From curated interiors in partnership with Ralph Lauren Home to the launch of The Den jazz lounge, Montauk is quickly becoming a cultural hub — attracting creatives, tastemakers, and a new energy to Redondo Beach.

More than a restaurant, it’s a statement: Black-owned spaces can be elevated, intentional, and world-class.

A legend reflecting on legacy — and building what comes next.

Bill Duke continues to shape culture both on and off screen, now turning his focus to telling the story of Redd Foxx in the upcoming biopic “Seeing Redd.”

With decades in Hollywood, Duke speaks on purpose, discipline, and the responsibility of storytelling — emphasizing that legacy isn’t just about what you’ve done, but what you choose to pass forward.

From classics like Sanford and Son to the present, the impact remains.

This next chapter isn’t just about history — it’s about making sure it’s told right.

W.E.B. Du Bois takes center stage in “W.E.B. Du Bois: Rebel With A Cause,” premiering May 19 on PBS.

Directed by Rita Coburn and narrated by Viola Davis, the documentary brings Du Bois’s legacy to life through powerful storytelling, archival insight, and dramatic readings from voices like Common, Courtney B. Vance, and Jeffrey Wright.

More than history, this is a reminder: the questions Du Bois raised about race, power, and democracy are still shaping the present.

Cadillac Chronicles is turning car rides into conversations — spotlighting the stories, sounds, and legacy of R&B and hip-hop icons. Created by Brian Freeman, the series brings viewers inside the ride with artists like Shanice, Columbus Short, and The Isley Brothers — blending music history with real-time connection.

What started as a grassroots idea is now a growing platform preserving the voices behind the culture while introducing a new generation to the legends who shaped it.

From Atlanta to Los Angeles, the ride is just getting started.

“Colored People’s Time: A History Play” is now showing at the Robey Theatre Company in Downtown Los Angeles — bringing powerful, layered storytelling to the stage.

Spanning from the Civil War to the Jim Crow era, the production uses a series of vignettes to explore the everyday lives, struggles, and quiet resilience of Black Americans — turning ordinary moments into stories of unintended heroism.
