On NBA Draft night, the Lakers traded the No. 25 pick to the New York Knicks in exchange for the No. 24 pick and cash considerations.

With the No.24 pick, Los Angeles landed a 6'5" guard from Baylor. During his sophomore season, he averaged 18.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 37.4% from three. He earned All-Big 12 Third Team and Big 12 All-Newcomer Team honors.

Carr further boosted his draft stock with an impressive NBA Draft Combine performance, recording 30 points and 7 rebounds while knocking down six three-pointers in a scrimmage.

Adding an athletic shooter should fit well alongside Luka Doncic. Carr also has the tools to develop into a solid defender at the NBA level.
