It’s true — even though they live in the ocean, whales are actually marine mammals! Unlike fish, whales breathe air through a blowhole located on top of their heads. They can’t breathe underwater, so they have to surface regularly to take in oxygen.
But that’s not all — just like other mammals, whales give birth to live young and feed them with milk. So yes, the question many people wonder about is true: whales do have ni***es! They have two, cleverly tucked away in slits near their tails. When a calf is hungry, the mother releases thick, rich milk directly into the calf’s mouth — an efficient system for feeding underwater without losing a drop!
So next time you see a whale, remember: it’s not a giant fish — it’s one of the ocean’s most fascinating mammals, with all the warm-blooded traits that make mammals unique.
