Trump just went all in on Harry and Meghan—and what he said is already dividing opinions around the world!
The President of the United States recently weighed in on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their reported return to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet. And his comments certainly did not go unnoticed.
Trump said he has never been a fan of Harry and Meghan and claimed that, in his view, they treated the British Royal Family with a great deal of disrespect. He went even further, stating that he did not like the way Meghan behaved toward the monarchy as an institution.
But the comment that really sparked debate was something else. Trump said that if he were in the Royal Family’s position, he would not have welcomed them back. The statement quickly triggered reactions from both supporters of the Sussexes and those who believe the couple’s criticism of the monarchy went too far.
All of this comes as Harry and Meghan settle back into life in the UK after spending six years in California. While reports suggest that Harry's relationship with King Charles III may have improved, the distance between him and Prince William is still believed to be significant. In addition, there are currently no plans for the couple to return to official royal duties.
Now the question is on everyone's mind: Does Trump have a point, or is he getting involved in a family matter that isn't his to comment on?
