In celebration of 10 years of “Topper Top” and 20 years of Deep MEDi, we couldn’t be more excited to finally share the FULL lineup for this massive takeover next week!
We’re also stocked to have BSide resident Anabadi to start off the night proper!
Deep MEDi has been a huge part of BSide’s roots and played a massive role in paving the way for bass music as we know it today.
When “Topper Top” came out, it had the entire world in a chokehold. To this day, that tune still hits just as hard as it did the first time. Getting to hear it live and experience these artists who have each made such an impact on the culture is going to be a movie!
First up, we have the label founder himself, Mala, THIS FRIDAY!
Then we link back up next Friday (10/2) to celebrate 20 years of Deep MEDi and honor one of the most influential labels in bass music history.

We’ll shoot you the link!

Born Karl Joseph in East London, he grew up surrounded by Caribbean music and early UK dance culture, falling in love with jungle, garage and the emerging grime sound from a young age. By his mid-teens he was already DJing on local pirates, developing the sharp, heavyweight style that would later make him one of the most respected selectors in the scene.
The Sir is widely regarded as one of the greatest grime DJs of all time and one of the culture’s most trusted ears, Sir Spyro has played a vital role in shaping both the sound and the story of UK grime. His career bridges generations - connecting its raw early energy with its modern evolution - and his legacy continues to grow with each project, collaboration and radio moment he delivers.
Sir Spyro’s iconic track “Topper Top” featuring Lady Chann, Killa P, and Teddy Bruckshot was released on influential UK label DEEP MEDi MUSIK in 2016! Happy 10 years the influential tune!
