This documentary is being created by Elizabeth Ortiz, a dependent whose father deceased due to Agent Orange and Brian Perras whose father is still living, but struggling with Agent Orange effects. Brian Perras is a veteran himself having served in The US Navy, on board the USS Enterprise CVN 65. During the Vietnam War the military used large amounts of mixtures known as defoliants, which are chemi

cals that cause the leaves to fall off plants. Agent Orange, one of the defoliants, is now found to be the cause of chronic diseases such as cancer to those in Vietnam War that were exposed to the chemical and birth defects of Vietnam Veteran children (dependents). The Veterans Administration has recognized certain cancers and other health problems as presumptive diseases associated with exposure to Agent Orange or other herbicides during military service. Veterans and their survivors may be eligible for disability compensation or survivors' benefits for these diseases. http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange/diseases.asp
