Sculpted Sounds

Fresh off another incredible week of artist announcements, we're keeping the momentum rolling with another act that perfectly embodies the spirit of Lunar Apex. Today we're excited to shine a spotlight on Upavas. For well over a decade, Upavas has been crafting a sound that effortlessly moves between deep, groovy psychedelia and the driving energy of twilight trance. Rich in texture, atmosphere, and melody, his sets are immersive journeys that reward both careful listening and full surrender on the dancefloor.

Inspired by the beaches of Goa and refined through a background in sound design and film audio, Upavas has built an unmistakable style all his own. Since 2013, he's performed at renowned festivals including MoDem, Kosmos, Digital Forest, Elements, and Earthcore, while releasing music on respected labels such as PsynOpticz, Sangoma, Parvati, and Purple Hexagon. Every performance reflects an artist whose sound continues to evolve while remaining true to its psychedelic roots.

For returning members of the Pulse family, Upavas needs little introduction. His unforgettable performance at Pulse Family Gathering 2023 was one of the weekend's standout sets, earning praise for its hypnotic grooves, flawless programming, and effortless storytelling behind the decks. We're thrilled to welcome him back to Lunar Apex, where he'll once again take us on another unforgettable psychedelic journey.

California's next generation of psytrance talent has arrived. Based in San Diego, Peachswitch has quickly become one of the West Coast's most exciting emerging DJs, turning heads everywhere from Psytribe to Secret Psychedelica. Every appearance leaves a lasting impression thanks to impeccable track selection, confident technical ability, and an infectious energy behind the decks that radiates across the dance floor.

Originally from Russia before finding her home on California's sun-soaked shores, Peachswitch's musical journey has taken her from passionate collector to one of the newest additions to the Sculpted Sounds roster. Armed with access to a deep catalog of cutting-edge music and an instinct for reading a crowd, she has carved out a sound all her own.

Her sets occupy that irresistible space between driving full-on and modern twilight—powerful, punchy, and relentlessly danceable. Equal parts playful and menacing, she balances uplifting melodies with darker textures and rolling grooves, creating a journey that keeps dancers smiling while pushing the energy ever forward.

Catch Peachswitch at Lunar Apex this September and experience one of California's brightest rising stars as she continues her rapid ascent through the psytrance underground.

Born from the meeting point of California's psychedelic roots and Goa's musical legacy, Digital Hippie's sound feels both timeless and unmistakably fresh.

With roots reaching back to the legendary dance floors of Shiva Valley, Digital Hippie has cultivated a style that bridges the golden era of Goa with the precision and polish of modern Full-On. Equal parts funky, playful, and impeccably refined, her music delivers infectious grooves wrapped in the unmistakable energy that has made the genre a global phenomenon.

Her studio journey has been every bit as exciting. Debuting with the infectious Hello Coconut alongside Tristan on Nano Records before joining the label's celebrated roster, she's continued to build momentum through standout collaborations including Far Out with GMS, work alongside Dickster and Jimi Green, and a growing catalog of solo productions that have earned support on dance floors around the world.

Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Digital Hippie brings an uplifting energy that keeps smiles wide and feet moving. We're delighted to welcome one of Nano Records' brightest rising talents to Lunar Apex.
