Do not interrogate my lived experience.

Do not correct it.
Do not fact-check it.
Do not hit me with “well actually…”

You were not there.

Episode 32 is up TODAY! What NOT to Say to Medical Trauma Survivors.

02/24/2026

“But you’re alive.”

Yes. And?

You can be alive and struggling.
You can be alive and grieving.
You can be alive and not feel grateful every second.

Telling someone they “should” feel lucky
can make them feel like they’re failing at being a survivor.

Episode drops tomorrow.
This one is brutally honest.

“Everything happens for a reason.”

No.

Sometimes the reason is a genetic mutation. Sometimes the reason is bad luck. Sometimes the reason is biology.

Not everything is poetic. Not everything is a lesson. Not everything is a divine screenplay.

Episode 32 drops tomorrow.
We’re talking about what NOT to say to medical trauma survivors.

Stay close.

Supporting someone after trauma is not complicated.

It’s uncomfortable. But it’s not complicated.

You don’t need the right advice.
You don’t need the perfect words.
You don’t need to fix it.

You just need to show up without centering yourself.

02/21/2026

This is who I am now. If that’s not enough for you?
Okay.

If it’s too much for you? Have fun finding less.

Trauma refines your standards.
It changes what you tolerate.
It changes what you need.

As you heal, you will: pick people up, be picked up, drop people,be dropped.

That’s not cruelty. That’s alignment.

There’s something freeing about friends who only know the version of you after trauma.

They don’t compare.
They don’t mourn who you used to be.
They don’t expect the old you back.

They just know who you are now.

And sometimes? That feels safer.

Friendship after trauma isn’t about quantity.
It’s about nervous system safety.

❤️‍🩹 The full episode is live. Listen now. You’ll feel seen.

After trauma, safety isn’t theoretical.

If something feels even slightly threatening?
My body reacts like it’s life or death.

And here’s the part people don’t expect:
My panic doesn’t look like hyperventilating. It looks like anger.

Some people scream. Some people freeze. Some people smile through silent panic attacks.

If you love someone with trauma,
learn what their nervous system looks like.

You cannot connect with someone’s trauma from your imagination.

Empathy isn’t:
“Well, if that were me…”

Empathy is:
“I haven’t lived that. But I’m here.”

There’s a difference.

Episode 31 dives into what friendship actually looks like after trauma — and what doesn’t. Link in Bio!

I spend every day knowing I could have a seizure.

That life is fragile.
That I’m not the exception.

And that awareness?
It’s heavy.

But it’s also why I’m more grateful for the small things than I’ve ever been.

Trauma gives you a broader perspective. On pain. On beauty. On how delicate this whole thing is.

New Episode is up – This one is about what shifts after you survive.

02/17/2026

Someone once told me:
“You can’t be hit by a car twice.”

Yes. You absolutely can.

Just because something is statistically unlikely doesn’t mean it won’t happen. Trauma survivors know that in our bones.

We lost innocence.
We lost the illusion of invincibility.
And that changes how we move through the world.

Want to love a trauma survivor well?
Show the f**k up. Validate. Listen.

Don’t theorize what you would do.

You don’t know.
Make the plan.

Be specific.

Stop saying “let me know.”
That’s real love.
