A true icon of the international club scene has returned🎵 🌍
Italian DJ and producer Chicco Secci, one of the defining figures of 1980s Ibiza and Miami’s house music explosion, has made his long-awaited comeback with “Running in the Air”, his first official release in over eight years.
With a career spanning four decades, Chicco helped shape the sound of global nightlife. From his legendary residency at Ibiza’s KU ( now ), where he played to crowds that included celebrities like Harrison Ford, to his influential Miami residencies at BASH, The Living Room, O***m Garden, and Wall, Chicco has long been a bridge between continents, cultures, and generations of sound.
Capturing the timeless pulse of his artistry, “Running in the Air” infuses elements of Afro house, haunting vocal layers, and hypnotic percussion, channeling the same energy that defined his early days in Ibiza while pushing forward with a fresh, worldly groove.
Chicco shared with us that “‘Running In The Air’ is born from a fusion of dark Afro rhythms and soaring vocals, a sound that channels both tension and release. Drawing on my years in Miami’s underground scene and the memories of electric nights in Ibiza, I wanted to evoke that timeless energy on the dancefloor. This track is my way of honoring the journey I have travelled, past, present, and future. I hope listeners feel transported, as if running in the air.”
