Some of our favorite beauty shots done by using both the and combined. We set up the as the main key, with the just underneath as a punchy fill, then placed a 8x8 china silk diffuser in front of them to blend both of these lights together. We also had 2 lights on the background, to wrap the sides of the model in a beautiful glow. And black floppies on the sides enhance the contrast overall. The result is a very large and glamorous beauty light with lots of punch and contrast. Perfect for highend beauty work. We also shot these slightly from the side to give a bit more depth and shadowing than traditional beauty shots. Notice the detail of the skin, yet the large and smooth coverage. We get the contrast of the smaller lights, yet the coverage of a much larger light. 👍😎
